I have decided to ignore EMHs altogether( hope I don't regret this....) since my DDs fall apart if they don't get enough sleep and none of us are early birds...we're going to take our chances that the slim January crowds will be slim enough!!

laumau!!!! You are awesome:dance3:

I checked the calendar and all is good!!:cool1: Spectromagic will be on Monday 1/5 at MK and Fantasmic on 1/8 at DHS. We are covered. No need to change the ADRs. :woohoo:

For all you that have been in January, how are the EMH's? When we usually go in Aug/Sept we always plan to attend then half way through out trip we avoid the parks. Now I know it's a slow time and the parks close earlier than the rest of the year, but is it still crazy?

Wish I were so lucky....I have to change around 4 of my days to fit in both Fantasmic and Spectromagic.....:scared1: Boy, did I screw that up.

Wish me luck!!

We're planning our trip for the end of January.

Is anyone else worried that the fewer showings of Spectro and Fantastmic will make the parks more crowded on those days? :scared: Or that the showings will be alot more crowded and difficult to see?

Yeah.. only 2x per week seems like not enough to me. I wonder if it was the same this past year. :confused3

We messed up with our ADR when it came to Fantasmic as well, so now we have to try to switch some around. Hopefully there are no problems. :worried:

:wave2: I've never waved to anyone in Jericho before, how cool am I now???

I  the UG, I read both 2007 and 2008 and can't wait for 2009 (although if Disney doesn't realease some 2009 info soon, it will all be the same)

Well, if you're waving at me, then you are most certainly cool!:rotfl: Of course, now we're back in Jerusalem.

Hours are finally posted? Looks like the only park we have scheduled to be in during extra magic hours is Epcot. After reading about the possibility of overcrowding, I'm thinking we'll just leave our schedule as is. We don't have any park scheduled for Saturday, so if we want to catch a coaster or two, and the EMH is for the morning, we can run to MGM that morning with the older kids. We scheduled that as a down day to spend with some relatives we have in FL.

I think the hours sound perfect and I'm happy for the shorter days. I figure with the shorter days, we won't have to leave the park for a nap and we can still get the kids in bed by 9pm. We have our meal at Boma scheduled for 5pm, so we'll head that way as AK is closing down for the day.

Do you all go to the parks with the EMH? We are not doing park hopping to save us money. I can't justify the cost. And since we have such little kids, we figure we won't be running around that much anyway.

Now to see how long it will be until they post their prices!

Ohh.. I'm afraid to look at the hours since I've already made my ADRs...

I don't know whether we should avoid EMH (as we've done in the past) or just go for it. Our scheduled AK day is EMH.
Also- where is the schedule of Spectro/Fantasmic showings?

If you click on the date in the corner of the box it gives you the daily schedule. :)

I don't think we're going to do much in the way of EMH.

thanks!
(I never knew that!)

We're not doing many EMH either. Our MK day falls on a EMH, but we'll be there early for Crystal Palace breakfast anyway.

To be honest, I don't think EMH will make much of a difference to the crowds in January, so I'm not going to bother about changing all our ADRs just to go to a park 1 hour early.

I am going to see if we can change a couple of our ADRs though, like CRT - they gave us a 5.40 ADR, but MK is open until 9pm that night. I'm going to see if they can squeeze us in later. It can't hurt to ask, right!?

Anyone have any luck booking the Fantasmic package yet? I just called and they claimed they didn't have the hours so they couldn't book it. :confused3

What do you all think of Fantasmic? We have been to Disney twice but have never seen Fantasmic. Our little ones will be 6, 4, and 11 months. I'm wondering if they might be scared.
We'd have to really rearrange our schedule to be able to see it, but it might be worth it.. I don't know.

Well... technically they do know where you live but.... no, you're far enough away. I shouldn't think it would hurt. ;)

Now if they would only put the packages up for sale! :lmao:

We've booked it but I am worried about my 4 year old. She was terrified of fireworks at the Fourth this year. I thought she'd get over it quickly but she cried and cried so we had to set her up in the house (luckily we do them from our driveway) watching a movie. I really hope she's ok at Disney with all that sort of stuff! :scared1:

Hey, even I get scared of fireworks sometimes! Especially if they seem really close! I'm a scaredy cat!

Disney fireworks are different, I reckon. Because it's much more based on a story and the characters - especially Fantasmic. Hopefully your DD will be too distracted by Sorcerer Mickey and all the amazing water scenes to notice the fireworks! :yay:

I love Fantasmic! It's my favourite. We've left it to do for our final night, but now I'm thinking that might be a bad choice, because what if it's raining and they cancel it!? Wah! Might have to rethink something there...
