Our plans are 1/4-1/12. I've made all the ADRs - just no resort decisions yet. We can't agree!

I noticed you're from Wisconsin. That's where I'm from too- Milwaukee area. I don't live there now but we'll be up there in a couple of weeks visiting family. I bet it'll be nice to get out of the winter up there next January- especially if next winter is anything like the last!

Speaking of Disney shopping...

I have a little problem. I can't stop buying Disney shirts on ebay!!!

So far I have bought a Tinkerbell tank top, a Tinkerbell green shirt, a Mickey long-sleeved hoodie, a Chip & Dale shirt, an Eeyore shirt, a Pooh shirt, and a Mickey & Pluto shirt.

Ummmmm. I still have over 5 months left until our trip.

Who knows what I might find in that time!! Hee!

We live right by La Crosse, WI. We've been to WDW in January two other times and it is the BEST time to go!

I have our ADRs made:

1/4: Arrival day (probably going to HS in the p.m. if they have EMH)
1/5: Crystal Palace for lunch (11:30) - MK day
1/6: PSB at 10:15 - Epcot day
1/7: Donald's Safari Breakfast (8:10) and Boma for dinner (6:20) - AK day
1/8: 50s PTC for lunch (11:20) - HS day
1/9: Kona Cafe for dinner (5:20) - MK day
1/10: Tutto Italia for dinner (6:45) - Epcot day
1/11: Seaworld day
1/12: Go home

I still need another TS (I am pretty sure we are doing the DDP and I only have 7 scheduled and will need 8).

I could do a dinner on 1/5 at MK OR
I could do a dinner on 1/6 at Epcot OR
I could do a dinner on 1/8 at HS OR
I could do a breakfast on 1/9 at MK OR
I could do a breakfast or lunch on 1/10 at Epcot OR
I could do a dinner at DTD on 1/11 after a day at Seaworld.

One thought is Chef Mickey's on 1/9. Any others?

Adais - Congrats on booking the Poly! That's where I want to stay someday! I'm not sure where you order the cake from. Maybe call the dining line and ask. . .

thank you mom is happy for now with the choice and it's more adequate since she only likes epcot and mk location and tranportation are perfect

funny thing when i called to change my reservation i asked about the cake and the man on the other side said that i really don't know if we do that
then a long silent pause and he says no i don't think we do . i do know i have seen a cake thread here so i'm off to search for it

You really can't go wrong with Chef Mickey's. Good food and great service every time! I see you could do dinner at DHS on the 8th, I would recommend Sci-Fi Dine In or Mama Melrose. Or LeCellier at Epcot on the 10th. . . . Just some places we have tried and loved!

Yes, I was pretty bummed that when Disney Shopping had an additional 40% off sale, the site wasn't working! Yesterday when I checked, it was working fine, but the sales weren't as good.

In general, do you think it's harder to get dinner ADRs than lunch ADRs?

Hmm. . . I don't really know. I would think it is easier to get lunch ADR's than dinner because a lot of people probably want to use most of their ADR's on dinner. We have always used ours on a few character breakfasts each trip and the rest on dinner ADR's. Except we did do Sci-Fi for lunch in May. Plus I don't think there are too many character lunches out there. I know I have heard several people say that they haven't been able to get into LeCellier for dinner, even 180 days out, so they have to go with lunch. . .

Hopefully we won't have too much trouble getting ADR's for January! I got every time I wanted for May, except for one had to be about an hour earlier than I had planned.

Looks like it will be All-Star Movies again. We were toying with the idea of CSR, but we thought with just being in the room basically to sleep, we would stick to Movies. Besides, our little girl and boy would kill us if we didn't stay near Woody and Buzz!

This used to be true (and so says many of the books), but it's no longer true. People were checking in on the last day of value and thereby getting value rather than regular pricing for the entire time. Last year, they changed it so that each day is charged its own "seasonal" rate, no matter when you check in or check out.

We are also staying at ASMo that week! It'll be our first time there and our first time at a value. We plan to get 2 connecting rooms! What sections have you stayed in there? I plan to request the Herbie section, it seems to be a quieter section, yet not too far away from everything.

Sounds like a good decision all around. It's not often you can make the kids happy AND save money at the same time! We'll be at AKV, renting points for a studio. We were originally staying at CSR, but I had concerns. I'm super happy with our choice now. 27 weeks from tomorrow, we'll be there!
