We are eating at both Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's!

I have NO IDEA what my favorite restaurant is.....I've only been twice; the first time I was 14ish, and the 2nd time was for my honeymoon. We ate all CS. I'll let you know my fave after our trip. (if I can pull myself out of my deep post-Disney depression, that is.:sad2)

I just ordered a bunch of $5 tees from the disneyshopping site....and some cute sunglasses for $3...:woohoo:

I'm not sure if anybody has posted this yet, but January's EMHs are up! You know, on the EMH page! Yeah!!! :cool1:

Woo hoo! It looks like the day we are going to the Studios they have evening EMH's so the older kids can stay with DH if they want and I can take the little ones back to the resort after Fantasmic. That worked out. Other than that, I don't know that we'll really be doing any EMH. None of the morning ones worked for us. :confused3

We've decided to tell them on Christmas morning (you are doing that too, right?) As we speak, I'm shopping on disney.com to find cool Disney stuff to wrap up!

They are soooo gullible......I think we'll be able to pull it off.:pixiedust:

Yep, they are finding out on Christmas morning! :santa: That is if I can keep my excitement to myself that long! :rolleyes1

Well that took some digging but luckily I don't throw any Disney info out! :rotfl:
Coral Reef - 407-560-6636 or 407-560-0031

I didn't do the menu, just the sign. When I called I had to leave a message and then the manager called me back later in the day. Good luck! :wizard:

Oh, and it was FREE!

Is it still Debbi Sacleux?

I just ordered a bunch of things from there this week. You can't beat that for t-shirts! I love having everything before we actually take the trip, it saves so much time and money!

T Rex from a CM, will be open in Jan 2009. But I believe is NOT on the Dining Plan.

When Dh questioned about a new restuarant in MK with a pirate theme , the CM did not say no, but to certainly check back and make arrnagements if sucha facility opened;)

Ohh.. how wonderful would that be! :)

What's the rumor about a Pirate themed restaurant at MK? I hadn't heard that one before!

I have often said (as the mother of only boys) that Disney should really offer some character meals geared towards boys, such as Pirates, Toy Story, Star Wars, etc. . . . Hey maybe somebody heard me!! :yay:

Thank you all for understanding. I just get "the look" from my DH.

Boy, do I understand that! I keep asking DH what he'd like to do, which place he'd rather eat at, etc. And he keeps giving me "the look" too. GRR! He just thinks it will be great, no matter what (which it will be, of course- but I want it to be perfect!).

If you could only eat at ONE restaurant while you were at Disney, which would it be and why?

Well, for this upcoming trip, it would be Crystal Palace. It's because we are celebrating dd's FIRST birthday there :) It's very special (well, all first birthdays are!) because she was in the NICU for the first week of her life & we are just so thankful that she is now healthy! We are going to PARTY :cool1:

Aside from that, they have an awesome breakfast, too :) We went last year for the first time there (while she was still in utero, so I guess she's been there, too- haha). Yummy!

Glad to hear that as we are eating breakfast there our last day. :)

Aw, you are going to have such a wonderful time! :goodvibes Make sure to tell them about your DD's birthday. They will do it up good! We went there on our first trip for DS's 4th birthday and they gave him Mickey head confetti and a cupcake with a candle. Then in May we were there for our 10th anniversary, we didn't even mention the anniversary, but the CM that checked us in noticed our buttons and we had a great surprise waiting at our table for us! What a fun time it was!

Okay so I am planning a suprise trip for my husband in January. I have booked a room at the WL Club Level because last time we were there we got upgraded from standard view to club level and my husband said it was the best vacation he has ever had! IPO has made all of our reservations, arranged for special cakes and got me in touch with the Coral Reef to do the personalized menu and hopefully the diver. I am also going to arrange for him and our son to do some kind of fishing/boating thing but I havent figured that out yet, any ideas on that?? Okay so what I really need ideas on is how to surprise him with the trip? I called his boss yesterday and got the time off for the vacation approved (hopefully he keeps the surprise quiet). I dont know if I should just surprise him the night before, or that day....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want to make this extra special for him since he works so hard for me and our son. :goodvibes

Shelley's beautiful EPCOT photos made me thing of something a little sad about our January trip - No flowers!

All of that lush landscaping is so beautiful and colorful! In January, we get a lot of green stuff!!!

Ah well - it's still magic!

I hadn't thought about no flowers! That will be weird.

Here's a question. . . . And yes, I do realize that I am in the same time zone as WDW! But what time does it get dark in Florida in January? It gets dark very early here in the winter, but we also are overcast all winter, with very little sunshine, so I thought maybe it is lighter a little longer in FL. It's probably dark here before 5:00pm all winter.

Looks like right around 6:00 for the week we're there. I used earthtools.org. This site doesn't adjust for daylight savings time, and even though we use it here, I don't get it. I just turn my clock ahead or back when they tell me to, and I don't know if Florida does it. So I guess it could either be 5, 6, or 7 o'clock. Big help I am, huh? But they'd want it good and dark for Spectro, so my guess is that sunset is about 6:00 pm. There's gotta be an easier way to find out!!! :headache:
