If the code comes out, how will you make the reservations? Do you do this online? Who do you make the reservations with? I guess I assumed you called Disney with the code but they aren't open at 4 am. Help! Thanks.

Call the 800 #, 800-828-0228. If you already have an existing reservation that falls during the code period, ask the reservation agent if there are any code rooms available during that period. See if they can switch yours if there is one. Be sure to have the code in hand, they will only honor it if you actually know the three letter code unless you get a really nice agent. You may find that your hotel isn't available but that a higher resort category is available and the code will bring the rate down to where you are right now with a lower resort. Example, you have POR, no code available there but you can get AKL for $20 more per night. If you like that, you can apply your deposit and just pay the difference.

I think that the person mentioning 4AM meant 4AM in their time zone. The Phones open at 7AM Eastern. Use that 800#, unless you have free long distance. I have been on hold the morning a code comes out for 30 minutes before!

If you're not using a TA: yes, you would call Disney Travel to make a reservation with the code. You can call Disney at 7:00am EASTERN time. The 4am reference would be Pacific time! And when it gets close to the "expected" day (possibly Oct 22nd?) you'll see posts each morning that at least one person called as the phone lines opened and they will post either "not yet" or "THEY'RE OUT!!!!!!"

pixe*dst: Call the 800 # and ask for the AP rate (or those can be booked online through the Passholders site)

I have booked the ASMu family suite for 1/11-14 for rack rate, $207 with tax, per night. CRO says they have no AAA rooms for those dates, but I just checked and I can get it directly from AAA for $147 (not including tax) per night, so I'm going to book that too. But I'm hoping in the end to have an AP rate that is even lower.

Any ideas when we'll see the January AP rates?

From what I understand, disney historically releases the codes at the same time of year each year. Last year and the year before the Disney Visa codes were released around Nov. 2

i just booked POP for the AAA rate of 65.60$ a night only 2 days ago for that very same weekend. you might want to try staying there if you don't mind POP?

I have a MYW Plus Dining package booked for Jan. @ the WL. If a code comes out that gives me a room rate that makes it worth my while to swap from my package (balance isn't due until Dec.4), am I allowed to do so? Does anyone have experience with this? Much Thanks!

If I booked through a Dreams Unlimited TA, do they get the code applied, or can I call CRO myself with the ressie # I have already? I'm new to this too, so I can use any help I can get.

What I'm worried about is a code will come out and I will have to pay in full....say around Nov 2. We will not know for sure if we'll be able to go until mid Nov.

There was a small room discount, I think, with last years deal, but I am not positive. We upgraded to Wilderness Lodge, and there is no way we could have done that without a deal.

Don't forget too, if you use your Disney Visa to pay for your Disney vacation package, you get 6 months to pay the balance interest free!
