January 2007 Discount Codes (Information on Codes - NOT A CHEERLEADING DEBATE) ;-)

Anyone call yet this morning?

ETA...well I just called....she said no, probably not for the next few days, since they had just done a major system enhancement. Why that makes a difference I don't know, but I guess we just check back another day this week.

I don't think we will see anything until 11/2!! But I could be wrong. The CM's that say these things about codes, really have no idea, they are just making an educated guess. I don't think they get heads up, they just get the codes when they came out. Oh well.. the waiting game continues.

As of 7:15 a.m. (Texas Time) the Website is still down. Calling may be another story, but on the website you can't book anything but Tickets. The website still says yesterday afternoon :guilty: , but we will just wait and see. We have waited this long :surfweb: , what is a few more days. :cheer2:

I am just going to go be the saying, "Good things come to those who wait".

Come on :tinker: Tinkerbell, sprinkle me with dust. :hyper:

Hi there! I am new to this site, and I love it! We are already booked for our trip, January 6-13. We are staying at ASMo. We have been there before, and theme-wise, it really is the perfect place with kids as young as mine. We will be celebrating my sons 5th birthday while we are there, so i havebeen doing lots of research on cakes, etc. My question is, does Disney allow you to use these codes when you have already booked and payed for your vacation? I already messed up our airfare, and it cost me close to $800 to correct, so if I could save a little money it would be great. Thanks!

Another question for you...I see some people are booked with AAA rates. I booked online, and was never offered the option for if I have AAA...so, are those rates generally any good? I am going to wait to call Disney until I see if there is a January code, so I can try to get the best rate. Thanks.

In an earlier post, you asked about changing your ressie after you've paid. You can do this, but you may have to pay a $50 fee. The fee is charged if you booked through WTC (Disney's travel company). You would know this if you must have your reservation paid if full 45 days before your trip. Often you are booked this way with a package. With a room only reservation, you can add discounts, change dates, resorts without a fee. I know, it can be confusing. Also, you can always attempt to add a discount. The catch is the discount must have availability. For example, if they release 100 rooms at XYZ resort to a AAA discount, you can get the discount applied to your reservation if you are one of the first 100. If you are 101, you are out of luck. One way around this is to check other resorts to see if a discount is available.

Also, you must reserve a AAA discount directly with Disney or through AAA. You cannot get a AAA discount online. If you book with Disney you can get a discount on your room. If you book through AAA you can get a discount on your room and add dining--you cannot get the dining plan plus AAA discount if you reserve directly through Disney. Lastly, Disney has started asking more often for your AAA member number when reserving. So, make sure you have it handy when calling.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip, and welcome to the Disboards.

Edit: AAA discounts normally run between 10-20%. It is better than rack rate, and "rack rate" is a bad phrase around the Disboards. :teeth:

The online reservations seem to be back up. I don't really see any new offers for the time I'm going (1/1-1/7 at POFQ).

OK i see online it's 210 cheaper but i don't see a code!
i called and they said it would be listed on the website?

do you have to book directly on the phone with disney to get a code applied to your booking? I don't see anyway to check out the code rates online. I called about a booking I made on Saturday but apparently I have to wait until I get my invoice/confirmation in the mail before they can even pull up my file??? Does that seem right? It may be 2 weeks before I get this in the mail in Canada the res. guy said. Crap. I guess I shouldda waited and not booked on Saturday. Huh.....
Sigh----

Is there an actual code out? If so, what is it? :confused3

Thanks in advance!

OK I can elaborate now, before I had a baby on my lap! I checked the price of our package as if we booked it online today it was 210 cheaper. I called and CM told me I need a code to apply the discount. I asked him if it was available in WDW.com, he said yes. I have looked all over and don't see a code anywhere. If this is the discount I don't really think it's all that good! I was hoping for like 500 $$ off. That would have made my day! I have looked at other sites and I see nothing of codes yet.

I'm sorry if I confused anyone. I thought that was a discount that they put on the site with 2007 dates. It is just a regular price package. I was excited for a minute. Sorry everyone, my mistake. Waiting, waiting, and more waiting. :surfweb: :rolleyes1 popcorn:: :badpc:
Time to go occupy my time!

OK now I am thoroughly confused! So why is the price different online then the one I booked in Aug? That is $ 2910, for 3 adults, 1 Jr, and 1 child 7 nights @ POR with dining and PH. Today if booked online it would be $2700? Are these just the winter reduced rates without codes? And where are the codes released to?

:confused3 Did you link from somewhere special? I got the same exact package deal as before. Maybe somehow you are getting the Canada special with free hoppers or something like that? :confused3

No I just googled wdw resort; it even asked me which state I was from.

I posted on the other Jan code thead and just realized it was the old one. I got AAA rate for Jan 1-6, 20% off. It was like getting my 5 nights for the price of 4.
