Hey guys! It's official, my sister and I are joining you!!!

We are super excited, this will be our 4th cruise with Disney, but the first on the Fantasy! We will miss our Wonder family for sure, but can't wait to meet new friends! Its also our first cruise without out our parents ( will be 19 and 22) should be fun!

Definitely keen to participate in the FE again this time round, we'd be happy to organize it if you'd like.

Meet up on the first day? Can't wait to meet you all! The countdown begins!

Welcome! And thank you for offering to organize the FE. Since you're the first to explicitly volunteer, I'd say it's yours. Just let us know what info you need.

We're also interested in meeting everyone; a first day meet-up sounds good.

This is planning way in advance (especially since I can't book excursions until November!), but dh, as of now, really wants to go to the Tulum Ruins when we port in Cozumel. There is no way on earth I'm dragging the 3 kids that far. So the kids and I will either be on the ship or do a beach excursion. If there is anyone with kids who wants to hang out that day it'd be fun to coordinate either excursions or being on the ship. And if anyone else wants to go see Tulum without the rest of your family, I bet dh would like someone to go with.

Just thinking WAY ahead, and we can discuss stuff like this more next fall.

I've never met a kid who didn't like the Oceaneers club/lab. The parents usually have to peal them away from the place if they want any family time it's amazing how quickly you can make friends at that age

We just got off our first cruise ever, the Dream, a 4 night trip to the Bahamas, from 1/27-1/31. We booked this cruise while still on board. Couldn't help ourselves! It was such a treat and our little one loved it so much! The nursery is incredible and everything was so well taken care of, not a single care to be had.
Our friends booked this same cruise, too, and were shipmates on the Dream, so I'm sure she'll be on here shortly, too.
We did the FE for 23 rooms/86 people. It was crazy but ***SO*** worth it!!! Would love to do it again and have already started brainstorming ideas!

Yeah!! My DH, DS and myself are the cruisemates LaceyMac spoke of. We are so excited for this cruise & the FE. We received great homemade items on this past cruise and can't wait to do this again.
We are leaving on my son's 9th birthday. Super excited!!!

Ive been doing a little bit of research trying to find out where the DISboards meet and greet is generally held on the Fantasy as I have only attended ones on the Wonder in the Promenade Lounge.

So far I have seen people arrange meets for The Tube and La Piazza on Deck 4 which are adults only spots but are open to the under 18's during the day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where they think it should be held? Has anyone been to a DISboards meet and greet on one of the new boats before?

LaceyMac and I just got off the Dream and went to a meet and greet in the Vista Cafe. It was nice. The only issue I had was that being a DVC member, our member gathering is usually at 2:30. We left the member gathering early for the disboards meet up.

The person who coordinated our meet up had stickers where you wrote your name and screen name to wear. She also made cute little gifts for everyone that came to the meet up. (Mickey made out of shells). The meet up was very informal.

Thanks for the info it's all super helpful! We will make the meet and greet and hour (3-4) so that if the DVC meet up and DISboards meet-up clash hopefully you can come at some time during the hour. Stickers are a great idea! at our last meet-up we had 60ish people and it was so hard to match the real name to the screen name!

We are having a meet up on embarkation day at 3PM. The location is still TBA but if the meet up group isn't too big oatway has suggested that we have it in their Roy O Disney Suite. The final location will be decided based on numbers

Sounds good. I was thinking of just staying on boat (easier) especially if the kids like the club. Sitting on deck with my kindle and a cold drink for a couple of hours sounds like heaven! We'll hae to keep in touch and figure out plans closer. I just hope my kids like the club!

We are certainly in for a great time!
There is a link in the first post for our separate FE thread if that's your kind of thing. We're also planning a meet for the group on the first day, we'll post the details a bit closer to the time when it's all figured out!

The dolphin swim looks amazing, I've done something similar at Sea World in Australia once an that was an incredible experience!

Regarding the asterisk, that was confusing me too. Perhaps it could be because we have to tender at that port? That's my best guess!

I was in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji this past summer (your last winter) I had a fabulous time, but New Zealand hands down was my favorite. Queenstown was beautiful for vacations, but Auckland, I wanted to move there! Really, I got home and looked up houses. I am planning on heading back there, so Wellington is on my list to visit. A lot of people love living there as well.

I am not sure about the FE, but we will definitely do the meet up. We didn't quite make it to the last one (Valentine's Day) but that was because my crew was starving. WE should be able to make this one. It would be good for Samantha to meet some other kids.
