January 17th, 2016 Southern Wonder Cruise

:welcome:To Your Friends as well:welcome:

Looks like this is going to be a big reunion as some of us were talked into this cruise by our friends as well. :rolleyes1

I was going to book Jan 25 or 31 because it was a little less expensive, but my friends convinced me sailing with them was way better than the money. I am sure they are right. Cruise friends are the best. :thumbsup2

Hope you are able to convince your other cruise buddies as well. I know that my all of my kids are looking forward to seeing their cruise friends. :goodvibes

A reunion on this cruise will be awesome! We too were influenced by our friends to go on a Southern Caribbean cruise instead of an Eastern cruise. ;) I am so glad we listened to her because this cruise is going to be awesome! :) My children are excited to see their cruise friends again too. :thumbsup2 January is always so cold in Wisconsin, so this will be the perfect time to go for us. Now we just need to find some decent priced airfare for all 8 of us.:coffee: Vicki

You were going to do the Eastern? :lmao: How did I miss that? This has better ports... and people :goodvibes

A reunion indeed :) I sailed the Wonder with Improvgal this past May. Are you still doing hawaii as well?

Aww..I'm so glad we are all sailing together. It's going to be awesome to have all the kids (and adults) together again.

Looking at who has checked in thus far, we seem to all be "regulars" of DCL. I have a feeling this one will go VGT or all the GT rates and we will have a bunch of last minute bookings.

Just booked today and am so excited!! It will be me, my husband, son (will be 13 at cruise time) aunt, mother And mother in law. We are the lucky ones and we all get along :)

This will be our fourth disney cruise (eastern, Mexico and Alaska). Can't wait to start planning this one

:welcome: Cdaub !! :welcome: We have a few 13yos in this group. :cool1: If he would like to join the kids thread and get to know the others, feel free to have him drop by. I know my 3 kids love getting to know "cruise" friends before the cruise.

You are one of the lucky ones! Not many people get along with their husbands. :rotfl2: ;)

Is there a link for the kids? I couldn't find one. (Edited - Just found the link) I think it would be great for him. He didn't like the younger kids club, but he LOVED the edge when we went to Alaska in 2013. It was one of his favorite parts of the cruise.

A few questions for those that have been on the Souther Cruise before:

1. Is there pirate night with fireworks?
2. Looks like we leave at 9:30pm. Do we still get on the ship early for lunch? Have dinner on the ship? Just a normal first day but we leave a little later?

I know I will have more but those are the ones I'm thinking about this morning :)

We were booked onto the Wonder for Alaska this July. My 22 year old daughter is pregnant and due June 20, so there went my Alaska cruise. So now, me & my 19 year old daughter switched to going on this cruise for my 50th birthday. Daughter will be 20 by then. Can't wait to go back to Martinique. I visited there twice before I had kids.

Patti (& Janine) :cool1:

Welcome Patti and Janine :wizard:

Hi to All...Just booked this Cruise! Two female adults and my 19 yo son (at the time of the cruise). Looking forward to the warm weather. Pretty port intensive. This will be our 4th Disney cruise and are used to relaxing having several days at sea. I think we will need a vacation after this lol. We are DVC members and hope they have a get-together for us. Last time we really got some cool stuff. Our names are Fern, April and Andrew. :yay:

:welcome:Fern April and Andrew!!:welcome: My kids teens initially did not want to book this cruise because it does not have enough at sea days. But now they have "cruise friends" to meet up with and they are thrilled to be there. I think we are going to do some port adventures and the others just walk around or simple site seeing tours. Swimming with the sea turtles and zip lining are the two big ones on my kids lists. Other than that, they seem to just want to stay on the ship with their friends.

Reporting aboard!

It will be DW and myself. Our 6th Disney cruise (with another to follow in Oct 2016) but first time on the Wonder. We love the Magic so look forward to enjoying her sister ship.

I thought I had already checked in here! My hubby, me and our 12 almost 13 yo son are on this cruise with y'all! Can't wait - this will be my 3rd time on Wonder. My sis and I did a sis cruise nov 2014 for our bdays and the Wonder was our family's first cruise ship. We have been on them all and now revisiting lol depending on itineraries. So excited about our ports! They look amazing!

Welcome! It's been completely quiet since I checked in myself 4 weeks ago. Hopefully, folks will start to reappear.

Hi everyone! Just put down our deposit today for this cruise...so excited! We have only done 1 Disney cruise prior...7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy in September, 2013. It is myself, Stephanie, my husband Bob, daughter Melissa - 9, and son Robbie, who will be turning 8 on the cruise! Can't wait to start planning!

Oh, and is anyone doing fish extenders on this cruise? We did it on the last one and the kids loved it!!
