January 15, 2012 - WONDERful Mexican Mickeys

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah! We had a wonderful day at home and then with family and it continues tomorrow, oye!

It is now officially time to start my pre-trip shopping for the essentials (toiletries, undergarments, snacks, etc) and get on DH's back about trying on his dress clothes and figuring out what to pack and what stays home. I can't believe we leave for CA in less than 3 weeks.

I'm getting so excited and I can't wait to put faces with all these names I'm trying to keep straight :)

Hey we are second seating. Any idea what rotation will be? Im assuming Tritons will be second since thats formal night I think. And I would assume Parrot Cay would be on Pirate night
Anyone know?
Can't wait to do the cruise document dance.
Disney is one of the only cruise lines that still sends those out. I really think thats classy and adds to the excitement
See everyone onboard soon

All three main dining rooms are in use every night. So 1/3 of the guests will have Tritons on the 2nd night and 1/3 of the guests (sometimes even the same 1/3) will have Parrot Cay on pirate night. :)

I was very excited to receive my docs last week! I've just been too busy to take a look at them.

For those of you who booked Super Shuttle independently for transfers. Is there a way to make the reservation online for Hotel - Port or Port - Hotel? I don't think I get frequent flier miles for phone reservations so I'd rather do it online. As a solo traveller, they seem to be cheaper than the Disney transfers, even if the trip time is longer.

Thanks. Just Disney and they dont even assign the dining untill a couple days before the cruise. Thats the info I got from the rep at least. Its all good though. Second cruise with Disney and it doesnt matter where dress we up at. It's all fun.

See everyone soon

we are second seating too..maybe they ( DCL) will put us together as we are both over a certain age.. and no kids ( did I remember that right???)

seating for dining is a mystery ..It will be "Wonderful" no matter what..:)

well i had 36 use it or lose it points..so after much conversation..we booked a quick weekend get away for ..you guessed it.. 36 points..:thumbsup2

See ya soon!!!!

DH and I are also second seating and no children aboard this cruise. Sounds like there are a few of us in the same "boat" so to speak. I think Donathius and his DW are also second seating without kids.

So after much hemming and hawing, we finally nailed down the second day at Cabo. We are signed up to do the horseback riding (I think this is final decision). So that's outdoor adventure in PV, Scuba on day 1 in Cabo and Horseback on Cabo day 2. We're gonna need a vacation after this cruise.

Maybe DCL will put us at the same table..:thumbsup2

Alright, Christmas is officially over. One last night of Hanukkah to go and then I am officially in Cruise mode! I worked on my FE again tonight. I've got to say, once I got the hang of it, the no-sew FE has moved right along. I just have to bind the edge of the body, get the Eyelets in and I'm done! (Unless I decide to go ahead and personalize it.....)

So much to do, so much to do.

hey, any suggestions for ds's birthday present for next week? He's turning 8 (and don't you all dare suggest a cruise :rotfl:)

Hi Angie,
I saw you name on the FE list but i don't see your what is your room number. Have you know what is your room #?

Sorry I haven't replied yet, our room is 8020?

Now that Christmas is out of the way I should be on this thread a bit more!

Hi Angie,
I saw you name on the FE list but i don't see your what is your room number. Have you know what is your room #?

The room numbers have all been on the Webpage I made. The only person's room number I don't have is grlzmom , at least the room numbers we need for FE exchange. Some others haven't given their rooms but they aren't in the FE....make sure you look at the FE list page not the home page.

Just a suggestion, I found if we post photos of ourselves before we meet at the port, it seem to have helped everyone recognize each other and remember who everyone is. But that is totally up to everyone.

Well on another note. It seems that when I was ill on black friday, it never went away. The doctor says the antibiotic subsided the symptoms but that since I was still having symptoms but ignoring them to try and make it through Xmas. Then the humidity in the Kalahari waterpark just made all that bacteria wake its ugly head. So now I have back bronchitus and sinus infection. So I am on a STRONG antibiotic, which of course has wonderful side effects(girls you know what I mean) though I am hoping that it knocks it out of me in a week. Doesn't it know I HAVE THINGS TO DO!!!!!!!

Ok so if I have time I will be adjusting the FE list on the webpage to be in deck order...this will help in delivery. However I probably won't do this till after the kids go back to school on the 4th.

Ok all I am off to get more of my FE supplies and then to run the kids to bday parties....OMG I so need them back to school cause I need to go through my luggage!!!!

We are booking a whale watching excursion through Pezgato.com. Our friends recommended them to us as did someone on the regular DIS cruise board. From what I've gathered from the DIS cruise board and from SanDeeKath's live MR trip report, you set your clocks forward 1 hour to CST before PV and it stayed that way through Cabo days. I asked the excursion people what time they were on and they are on MST, so the ship (from what I gather) will be 1 hour ahead of Cabo time. Therefore, to be safe, I think we are going to book the whale watching excursion on the 1st Cabo day from 1-3pm Cabo time, which would be 2 -4pm ship time. In case there is some time confusion, we'd still be safe since the ship isn't supposed to leave until 7:00pm. :)

Thanks for the prayers....I am supposedly on some good antibiotics and inhaler so I hope in a week to feel much better!!!
No you can always email a picture to me through email on here or through our webpage. Otherwise you upload a photo to photobucket and copy the url code( i think) into a message and it should appear.

Tim--you haven't gotten your cruise docs yet? Well here comes the snow/slush!!! I want snow while were gone so kids don't get penalized for 5 days of school.

I just checked this out...only $39 per adult and half of that for my girls each. Hmmmm So how far is this from where we tender in at???? I would love to do this. Did you book online? the times I see are 10-12 or 1-3. I don't see 2-4...am I looking right place?:confused3

I have not actually made reservations yet, but plan to when I get more info when I make a phone call to Pezgato tomorrow. Per a previous email from them, the meeting place is at the marina by the dolphin swim place. So, close to where we tender in. The time change thing is tricky - I've heard several responses, but from a poster last week on the MR cruise, they were told to set the clocks forward to CST in PV and it stayed that way through Cabo. Cabo is on MST (which is 1 hr behind), so I will book the 1-3pm excursion Cabo time, which would actually be 2 - 4pm ship time. So confusing yes? :confused3 I will post what I find out tomorrow..maybe if a few of us do this we could meet somewhere and help each other figure out where we are going because the price is awesome :)
