January 15, 2012 - WONDERful Mexican Mickeys

WOW! another Ohioan, OH.... Nice to have you on board. We live outside of Dayton (Xenia or better known as X-town). Not to far from Piqua. Our group is getting so big, I'm like a proud mother:goodvibes

BTW, ForTheLoveOfDCL, I just got a room change and an upgrade rm # 5502.
Can you please update our website and FE list, Thanks. I also couldn't find where the info on our meet is on the website.

We also loved the Carlton and will miss Clayton lots. Anyone know anything about Christiaan Abbott, I'm sure he is amazing, this is Disney after all.

Getting some of my FE together and that seems to be helping with winter blues. I am no where near getting ready to pack although I have plenty of our summer things in a tote ready to be packed. I guess I feel like I only need to pack for 4 instead of 6, now that our 2 older kids are grown, so I's slacking a bit.

I updated your stateroom number, it mihgt take a day to update. I also added 2 meets---one at 3pm sunday for everyone to meet and then one for guys (and girls if they wanna) on Monday night at goofy pool for Monday night football on the Ariel television. Any others anyone can think of??

DH says it is div Playoffs weekend that weekend we board....I didn't know that. NO Monday night games...sorry I only know I have football in my house till Feb, :rotfl:

ForTheLoveOfDCL thank you very much for keeping our web page up dated.. I really appreciate all your personal time and effort in making sure we all have a way to be organized as a group.

Football will be a must for us, but you are right, no Monday night football because its the division playoffs. My husband has coached football for 14 years and my oldest son and middle son (16 yo going on the cruise) are football players. I have already hear about how the cruise and football dont mix well. From my research it seems that they only show the football games on board if we are at sea or in international water which may or may not be true. Not sure how Pacific time and sail away are going to affect the games on Sunday. My husband does have the NFL app on his phone but if Greenbay plays we will have to find a TV. I guess with no Monday game it leaves extra opportunity for us girls to have some fun time together:cool1:

there is a sports bar and you would think that they would show the sunday nite game..:confused3

Does anyone know who the cruise director aboard the Wonder is?
Just curious
Tim:cool2:

While Christiaan is currently the cruise director (and an awesome one, at that) on the Wonder, I heard he's scheduled to begin vacation later this month and won't be returning to the Wonder until the April Hawaii cruise (yay!) after first helping Brent bring the Fantasy over.

I was on the Wonder at the end of August and Natalie was the Assistant Cruise Director so perhaps she will be on our cruise. She was fantastic on Cruise Staff and I was so happy to see that she's been promoted through the ranks.

Ok, I'm really jealous that you are in WDW right now. How long are you staying for? I can't imagine doing all my packing less than 5 hours before my flight. I usually have a pre-vacation ritual, which includes shopping for certain items that need to be packed so I don't have to worry that I'm going to still need it at home...helps with the packing. I need to start my pre-trip shopping soon, but I'm so busy with Christmas shopping I don't have the time or money :(

The trip was pretty much just a long weekend trip. I flew down Fri night and flew home first thing Tuesday morning and went straight to work. The weather was amazing and I got to reunite with some friends who I only see once a year and also say farewell to Jaws. :)

I'll probably start my packing list for this trip the weekend before I go and then do the necessary laundry and such in the evening over the course of the week. My 3-oz liquids bag stays packed, as do a set of cosmetics for travel. I've also got a hanging organizer bag with larger-sized liquids that I can toss in since I'll be checking a suitcase.

I am sure they will have something. The boarding day seems to go fast and is busy, though I do believe where ever football is , as long as it's after the show, Del(DH) will be there to watch the playoffs!! However if the show is the same that we have seen over and over and over again , then he may pass...I however love being welcomed back home..:thumbsup2

I was a few weeks after that on the last Alaska cruise (8/30) right before drydock. Fantastic cruise!

Hi all - I just found this thead - we are kind of new to this, but we will be on this cruise with you!! It is me DW Kris, DH Scott, DS Ryan (11) and DS Jack (10). We are on Deck 5 in one of the secret porthole cabins and can't wait for this cruise! Don't include us in the FE exchange, since it is so late and it would take me months to make all the crafty stuff everyone does :) Just wanted to say "HI".

Welcome Kris! Looks like we continue to grow! It's been so much fun meeting people before we acutally meet on board.

Thanks we're excited! Ryan (11) is excited to be able to be in the Edge this cruise. My son Jack (10), on the other hand, is less than thrilled to have to be in the Lab. Hopefully, this will change once we get on board! I've also finalized our crazy arrival plan. :yay: Flying into LAX from Denver on 1/14 am. Renting a car for the day to go to DTD, grab some wine, beer, water, hit an In and Out Burger, etc.. DH will drop us off in the evening at Crowne Plaza by the Port and return the car to Long Beach Airport, then take a taxi to the hotel. Shuttle to ship in the am. I wish they had car rental places at the port like they do in Port Canaveral :) Super Shuttle back to LAX after cruise.

My youngest DD doesn't alway like being seperated from older DD but I think it's nice to give them space and I personally think sticking 10 and under in with the tweens is like sticking tweens with the teens...Teens wouldn't like that. I just wish they didn't let the 3-6 with the 7-10.
We are flying in the 12th, going to Hollywood and then staying at Disney and going there friday. Then returning car sat and taking a shuttle to the Crowne that night too. and shuttling over thru the hotel. We are probably getting super shuttle back when we return but I was hoping to split a Limo with someone but I guess I have no takers so I will just book a car service!! :confused3
