Cheryl, we are leaving in 5 days also!!! I am a procrastinator at heart and STILL have everything to do. I did get one of the DDs to go through clothing to see if we need to buy anything! They all grew recently. There isn't a plan to meet anywhere specific at the port. i am sure that I will recognize Joy since I can see her picture on her posts. Since no one has to stand in line anymore, it should be fairly easy to spot people wearing yellow or blue. I did reserve a car for Grand Cayman and the spa for an at sea day. That is it though. I think I will stay at a hotel near DW since it is so much cheaper and we plan to do DTD Friday evening.

Okay, cool! We are staying at OKW two night before the cruise. I rented points. It was less expensive then any hotel I could find. Most resorts were sold out. The port was very expensive.
I'm sure I'll be able to pick out Joy too! I'll try & post a picture of us on here. Katherine has her picture in her siggy, I'll be with her at some point.
I haven't packed either. I did have Kevin try on all his clothes, good thing! Had to borrow a suit @@.

BTW, I am cruising with my parents (63 and 58...but they don't speak much English) and brother (31, came all the way from Australia).

Try renting DVC points. That was the only way I could get a room on property. OKW had availability.

Yeah my mom checked since we are vacation club members. The only thing left was OKW but a 2 bedroom. She thinks thats too many points for one night. We still keep checking though. Nothing like waiting until last minute. They didn't think there would be any problems, until they realized about Martin Luther King weekend.

Bummer. Now I'm worried about checking in late and getting stuck with a crappy room. I booked a studio.
Maybe you can be wait listed. Meanwhile good luck getting something. Try the Grosvenor, I heard they had some decent rates. It was hard to even get an off site reservation before I got this. I guess we'll be dealing with some big crowds on those days @@.

At least you know where you are staying!! DH is trying to convince me to take the train down instead of driving. I would rather drive by myself with the kid than take the train. Then I would have to lug all of our stuff around to the train, to the hotel, then to the boat! I really don't want to do that!

We are driving down to my parents house near Ocala, FL. We leave Thursday night from MD, driving the midnight shift!! My parents will take us to the port on Saturday, they are 90mins from Orlando, a little over 2 hrs from port I guess. My dad is retired MD state police so he drives kind of FAST!!

Anyway QUESTION....So we are allowed 2 suitcases and a carryon right? There aren't weight limits on the bags like for airplanes are there? Also, I think we will end up with an "extra" carry on (garment bag)...we are EXTREMELY OVERPACKED for this trip!! Does anyone think we'll have trouble bringing the extra bag on ship?

I was actually wondering the same thing. I have an extra bag because we are bringing school supplies for the Costa Maya children. Maybe we should post this on the regular cruise forum.

Hey guys .... I think we may need some prayers and pixie dust for our trip!!!! The forecast so far looks to be a bit cooler than normal and rain for Grand Cayman.

Grand Cayman is the only port we've booked an excursion for ... I'll be so bummed if we can't make it!

On the plus side, it looks like the seas should be fairly calm. But it is a full ship

We have been experiencing very cool weather in Florida this week but it's supposed to warm up this weekend, which is good for Key West. Beyond that, I wouldn't put too much faith in what forcasters say for over a week away.
