January 12, 2013 Eastern on the Fantasy

Which city, in Ontario?

I have family in Hamilton & Stony Creek.

It was 50-F here today:cool2:

Happy Thanksgiving (to all the yanks -eh)?;)

Many of my relatives used to live in Hamilton. I remember as a child going on summer vacations to stay with my Aunt and her family there, up on the Mountain :) Now I have relatives in Stoney Creek and Brantford and London :) Very mild out here today, going to have a high of 9 C today which will be nice. Chance of snow this weekend, but I'm not holding my breath on that one :)

One of my cousins had a beautiful place on the mountain. On a clear day, you could see the CNTower from her deck.
Enjoy the weather while we can. Hope the January weather in the caribbean will be mild for us :beach:

Hope the FE is a big hit.
We are going to observe, being our 1st DCL Cruise, we just want to take it all in.
Work was a killer today - could not wait to get home and spend time "mouse-booking" :rotfl:
The Dhas her face-booking; all my social media interaction is centered around vacations, ergo "mouse-book" ;)

It feels good to be less than 7 weeks away:banana:

I live about half an hour away from London. About 2 hours from Hamilton. Forecast for today is 14, but today is the last nice day. Cold and snow and rain coming up soon!

Got our fist "staying" snow fall yesterday here in Ottawa.

We got our first on the weekend! Spent Saturday outside building snow forts and sledding. Couldn't help but think of the cruise!!

We didn't get enough for forts and sledding. I wish though. I can't wait to gobskijoring and dog sledding.

OK - I'll bite
What the what is gobskijoring :confused3

LOL, I'm from Ottawa too, but I also am curious :) I have no clue what gobskijoring is :)
I officially packed my suitcase today:banana: and when my 9yr old came home from school, I had him try on his spiffy suit for formal night to see if it still fits or if I'll have to get him a new one. Believe it or not, IT STILL FITS!! He got this suit for our cruise in the fall of 2010, and 2years later it still fits!!!! JUST though. So I'll pray he doesn't go through some kind of growth spurt between now and cruise time :thumbsup2

I'm glad I'm not the only person who has started packing already :) I am usually too embarrassed to tell people I start packing two months before my trips :) It gets the vacation going early.

Let me join that early packing club, as well. Just got a new back-pack, with an easy access design for my iPad. (that's 4 new back packs, in 5 years);)

Will probably do 2 or 3 packs, until I get everything within the 2-bags per person limit for free checked bags with Southwest. Gonna need all the space we can scrounge up to get us through 15 days total. (following the Cruise up with 7N at SSR):goodvibes

I actually count 32 too!! Thank goodness, I was going to have to change my idea is I had to make 29 rather than 15 or 16 for that matter!!!

from my count yes we do

I count 30, what am I missing?

Edit: actually just recounted and got 32!!

Now when did those last two show up??? this is great news!!! WE have officially crossed the threshold. (I too was in a bit of a bind at 29)

Hopefully we can edit the doc to show the cutoff and which cabins are actually just one family.

Can't wait to start finalizing everything.

Besides the FE my to do list on this cruise is all over the place!!!
Been too busy with the Sept 29 sail on the Dream.

Keep trying to read as much info as i can on Puerto Rico on the boards. Everything so far sounds pretty good.

I would love to be packing, but for Rob and the dogs (yes, the neurotic dogs:scared1:), I am holding off for a couple more weeks, which is killing me!!! However, the week between Christmas and New Years, the packing is on and no one (furry or not)will get in my way!

I meant skijoring. It's cross country skiing but you have dog(s) sort of pulling you. Their line is actually supposed to be taught without actually pulling full force.
