January 10, 2013 - 3 Night Bahamian S.S. Member Cruise

Hi all, haven't been on in a week because we were in for a hit from Hurricane Sandy. You might have seen Long Beach, NY on the news...we're the next town over. We are all fine, but lost 2 cars to salt water damage. We live in a 2nd floor apt., so our living quarters were not hit, but still no power,heat, etc. I'm on the computer now because of the kindness of family members. It's like a war zone down there. We're all staying with family, but we are all OK, and that's what really matters. Probably won't be at home for a while.

But on to Disney matters, got Halloween cards...thanks!! And a meet on the ship is a great idea. I don't think we can do one the night before, because we only land at MCO at 7 pm. Staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas the night before.

I have a problem and I know if anyone can help me it is all of you. My hubby and I want to dress up for pirate night but my hubby is a large man and i have looked and looked i can not find a pirate costume in a 5x any where if anyone knows where i can find one please let me know.

Have you checked the online costume places? They seem to have a large variety of sizes...

Things seem to be very slow here. Who has checked in? DCuz needs to add some info, so we haven't yet. I've sent her an e-mail, but she's in NJ, no power for a long time, I don't think the cruise is on her "to do" list just yet.

I called Member services today to see if there was any availability for the Member cruise, and it is officially closed out, no more waiting list either, as of 11/7. Figured I would treat ourselves after two weeks of Mother Nature and LIPA putting us through some stress! We feel lucky that we only lost power for a few days, a tree, and some food. Friends of ours have lost everything, but are alive and well.

Have fun, maybe we will try for something next year, as long as it is a short cruise, since DH and I are not good sailors.

Oh... I'm sorry for what you had to go through, and I'm sorry that the MC was officially closed for new sailors! I do hope you get another chance to get sea legs on a MC!

You're right!I have a big red check by "on board accounts" so we can't check in. I've sent DCuz another e-mail asking her to do what she needs to do.

Any rumors as to whether Ducky Williams will be on board? I know he sometimes attends Member Cruises and I have a couple of prints I'd love signed.

Jason surreal and another imagineer hosted make your own vinylmations. There were also some items from the archives there. Hard to say since it is just a 3 day. Not sure how they will mix things up! There were meet and greets with Claire Bilby too.
