January 10-14 2010!!! 4 nights on the Wonder

Thank you for sharing the Atlantis pictures. What an amazing and large place! Looks absolutely beautiful. I'm wondering if it's better to take the Disney package or just get to Atlantis on our own and pay directly to the hotel? I checked prices and it's definitely cheaper to buy directly from the hotel, but based on a first come first serve basis. Next have to determine whether we want to be tied to the Disney schedule of returning by 4:30 p.m. or go off on our own and take a taxi?

You're welcome....that's what we did last time....we had 7 people and got 2 rooms. At that time, DCL did not offer excursions to use the grounds in it's entirety. You had to be a guest to do that. So we were. We didn't get even half way through everything there is to do....it's just too big. We went up to the rooms when we were tired of the sun and ordered in room service and could take showers and change....some did and some didn't. The only down side was that it took a LONG time to check in because of lines. Also, for the cab ride back to the boat....allow a lot of time. They will try to fill the van before leaving. We all went back at different times and me and John were the only ones who left when we did....we had to wait.

Now that DCL is doing the excursion where you can go anywhere on property, we have chosen to do that. It's just the two of us this trip. It'll be easier and simple.

Hi,

We just went in August and booked Atlantis through Comfort Suites. Way cheaper!! Atlantis is huge so you will not be able to cover it all. It was very easy doing on our own.

That sounds like a better alternative....where is it located from the Atlantis property? Was it far to walk?

Do you know if any other hotels have privileges at Atlantis?

When we went in 2007 Comfort Suites was the only one...not sure about currently. You can check the threads...I remember finding lots of them with info specifically on Atlantis.

Sorry - Life has been crazy... I was sick and then Dexter was VERY sick (more info of my PTR... I won't bore you here). ANYWAY - I finally had time to....

Paid in Full!!!

Now I just have to wait until Sunday at midnight and I can start booking the fun stuff!!! :cool1:

It's Sunday and I'm staying up late to book fun stuff too. It actually makes me think the cruise is getting closer :cool1: I have been putting off getting too ready because I didn't want to torture myself but now it's getting colder here and I'm ready to go. Now... I have a FE to make and gifts to collect, tye-dye Mickey shirts to make, and a door magnet... Wow.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm also going on the 1/7 cruise, and we have an extremely small meet thread going (about 4 families I believe) and I'm the only returning cruiser!! So it was just me booking stuff 3 nights ago.

So, what are you all looking to book?

We would also like to be included in the FE exchanged. I have already found some great things for this.

I am staying up late too. I have been spending the day trying to figure out what we are going to do. Can I register for PALO early? What about spa treatments?

I want to book Palo for sure. We were on the Magic in 2005 and can't wait to cruise again with Mickey. Palo was one of our best nights.

Yes, if you are a returning Silver cruiser and are paid in full, you can book after midnight. This includes 1 reservation for each type of Palo meal (Brunch, dinner), excursions and spa treatments.

I just got home from work and I'm staying up too! :thumbsup2

Is it 12pm eastern?

12am EDT actually. So if you're in a different time zone you'll need to adjust.

I saw your post on the main forum asking if it was "Easter" time. I was going to post something back about the Easter Bunny, but figured I'd come over here to have fun with you!

lol! It's late :rotfl:

Any ways!! I got my PALO Brunch and nursery time for palo. Thats all I was really worried about.

What did you guys get?

-nat

Okay, all booked. Got Palo brunch (10:30) and dinner on the 1st night.

Also booked the blue lagoon dolphin encounter for Nassau. We're not 100% sure we're going to do that excursion, but I wanted to book it now while we decide. We're doing a dolphin encounter in Grand Caymen on our Dec cruise. If that one goes okay but not great, then we'll cancel this one. If that one is wonderful and we'd love to do another one, we'd have this one booked.

Off to bed! Hope everyone got what they wanted. I've never been where there are endless brunch options available at the 90 day booking mark. Nothing was sold out!

I booked Palo for the 3rd night. I debated which night was best but my kids said Formal over Pirate... I hope that was the right thing. It will be great no matter what. I also booked the Catamaran sail and snorkel for Nassau. And since I'm the only one up booking things... I booked a massage for the morning of the sea day.:thumbsup2

I got my Palo brunch and dinner reservations. And I booked my spa treatments booked too.
