My MIL got my Mom started on this series and then they both handed them over to me, so I have started reading them as well. They are pretty good! I was just wondering if anyone has read them, or is reading them and would want to chat about them.

I am in the middle of book 11 now.

Also, earlier today I was reading on the Janet Evanovich website and it looks like there are other books in the series other than the numbered titles. Does anyone know if they go in the order that is listed on the website?

In order starting at twelve:
Twelve Sharp
Plum Lovin’
Lean Mean Thirteen
Plum Lucky
Fearless Fourteen
Plum Spooky
And then Finger Lickin’ Fifteen – comes out this month.

Thanks!

I am so excited for Tues when 15 comes out. A friend told me about the Plum books and I devoured them all in about 3 weeks. I was a little disappointed with the 14th one, so I am hoping the 15th redeems itself.

What is this series about?

I love reading series and always looking for new ones to try. Right now I am in the middle of the Meg Langslow (Donna Andrews) and Kay Scarpetta (Patricia Cornwell) series.

I love the Stephanie Plum series! I had heard that #14 wasn't as good as the others and frankly, I'm not surprised at all. I have yet to read an author who is good for more than 10 - 15 books. The creativity just gets depleted after a while.

Stephanie goes to work for her uncle (I think) as a bounty hunter and hilarity ensues! There is the hot cop Joe and the Super hot bounty hunter Ranger! Stephanie is clumsy, funny, sarcastic, always worried about her hair and weight. And each book focuses on a new criminal to catch. They really are well written and keep your attention. A lot of fluff and so fun to read.

I think they are listed in the order that she published them. So far I have read the frist 8 of the number series and just started Plum Lovin'. Since they are in betweeen the numbers, I don't think i matters what order you read them. Hopefully someone who has read them all can let us know.

I hope someone can let us know too! Let me know how the plum ones fit in. I really have enjoyed this series! They are so funny! My DH keeps asking me what I am lauging at.

Grandma and Lula really crack me up sometimes!

I love these books too.

It's best to read the numbered ones in order, but not totally necessary. The Plum ones are the "in between the numbers books" and don't have to be read in any particular order. They're shorter and possibly even fluffier!

I was just going to post this same thing. I'm on number 10 right now and these are about the only books I've read that I actually laugh out loud while I'm reading them!

I've read a couple of the "between the numbers" books, too. I like to pick them up when I just need a very quick read--they are pretty short, but just as funny!

Oh good - thank you for letting me know. I am really particular about reading books in order...

Eh... sorta. The in-between books are connected to holiday: Plum Loving = Valentine's Day, Plum Lucky = St. Patrick's Day, Plum Spooky = Halloween...

I've never read the holiday books, how do they tie into the regular series, or do they tie in at all?

Oops - I searched and of course nothing came up. thank you fo positng that!

I never use the search. I just knew about it b/c I remember reading it and then stopped b/c people starting talking about the books and I had just started them.

It was just an FYI in case you wanted to read that thread.

It was not meant as a why did you start another thread. KWIM? :)

Anyone have any recommendations for other series as good as this one? I'm not much of a reader at all. I started this one while I was on vacation and have not been able to stop!!!

Try the Meg Lanslow series by Donna Andrews. They are pretty good and funny. They all have birds in the title, the first one is Murder with Peacocks.
