Anyone on the dis read the number series....
I am hooked on these books. Hoping there are other disers that might want to talk about the books! I just finished Hard Eight. Loved it!

Yes, we've discussed the books here. She's a favorite of mine! I think she's up to number 14.

The "between the numbers" books are fun too. Same characters (although Diesel might only be in the between books). There is one Christmas-themed, one "spooky" - can't remember the others.

It's been debated about reading them in order. I know I did, but not sure if it's a "must".

enjoy!

I only read up to Hard Eight, but I did read 1-7 in a month's time or less. They're really funny.. Lola and granny crack me up. I'm not sure why I stopped, I think I just got busy and never picked them up again.

New one comes out in June I believe... cant wait. Love em. Lula reminds me of my best friend with some of the things she says and does.

Yep. I've read all of the "number" and two of the "between the numbers" books. So much fun to read! :)

I love love love the Plum books! Just too funny!! I don't have anyone to share the books with either. The only friend of mine who probably would have enjoyed the naughty humor passed away a few years ago. My aunt wouldn't appreciate them & my daughter isn't interested. Don't think I dare get the grandkids (12 & 15) reading them just yet. If they're around when I'm reading a Plum novel, they just roll their eyes when I burst out laughing!

Reminds me of when I was in study hall during my high school years. My mom had me reading a book of hers, The Egg & I, & I was going to use it for a book report. Shouldn't have been reading it in all that quiet because I burst out laughing then too. Teacher wasn't impressed.

:rotfl2: That would happen to me.

I think I saw some at the used bookstore here. i may have to go back up there. I guess I better get one at the library first. But, I keep certain authors. I'm reading book 6 of the Women's Murder Club series, but I'm almost done so at least I have a plan now.

Wish I'd never discovered Stefanie Plum - yet ANOTHER series of books I have to buy! Why do all my favourites seem to put out series??

(Seriously, I do know why - they create characters we connect with, & keep wanting to read about....) What do I have to do? Read about characters that bore me so I have to stop spending 1/2 my pay cheque on books???

Anyway, also got a kick out of the other books Janet Evanovitch wrote, semi-Harlequin that they may be. Fun & entertaining. Can't remember what they're called, have to check my shelves....

My mom and my DD 11 :rolleyes1 read them and love them.

If I ever get a kinlde I may try them out.

I am reading Plum Spooky right now. I love that series. I can't wait for another one to come out because I have read all the others!!

I love all the cars that Stephanie owns seem to blow up somehow. She can't win! Then you have grandma peeking in caskets(haha) The love triangle between her, Morelli and Rangee, makes you wonder which one is she going to call for help.
They were supposed to make a movie out of the novels but it never happened. What actor/actress would you hire to play the parts?

One 'love' one, centered around Valentine's Day; and "Plum Lucky" for St. Patrick's Day.

Funny you should ask... Janet Evanovich feels Sandra Bullock should play Stephanie (not my imagination - look around www.evanovich.com :)). Given the age thing, though, I dunno - Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom? And no matter how hard I try, I still can't picture any actor as Ranger. But right now there's a poll for who you think should play Lula...

I love those books! The day the new one comes out I always run out and buy it. Its one of the few books that I can just laugh out loud while reading. They are a bit racey at times but man are they funny!
I would love to see a movie made out of them!

I love the Stephanie Plum series.I can't wait for Finger Lickin 15! It will be out June 23! I hope there is more Ranger in this one! Love Ranger!

I wish they would make a movie. I wanna drool over Joe and Ranger!!!

I didn't realize 15 was coming out this summer, now I have something to look forward to.

I've read the entire series, including the in-betweens. I love the books, they are such a fun, easy read.

I'm also a big Ranger fan, I'm hoping more happens between them. My friend who turned me onto the series bought me a black Rangeman hat that I get so many comments on (I usually wear it to the gym).

They are books that you start to read knowing you will have gut wrenching laughter. One time, I read one on a plane.....it was hysterical.

I love this series!

My choices for the movie cast-

Stephanie Plum-Heather Paige Kent(from That's Life)

Lula- Queen Latifah

Grandma Mazur-Betty White

Ranger-Mark Consuelos

Morelli-Jeremy Sisto(Law & Order)
