We just got back from WDW on 1/13 and I am busy planning our next trip. We have visited in Jan for the last 3 years but thinking of trying presidents week next year? DH hates crowds and complained this year about the crowds during and after NYE at WDW. We arrived 12/29 and it was very crowded until 1/5 and then crowds picked up again around 1/11 for the marathon. Do you think presidents week would be unbearable as far as crowds go? DD has that week off and it would be great for her because she wouldn't miss much school. Although we would take her out a few days early to stay for 2 weeks. I will certainly miss the decorations if we don't go around NYE but I can't rule out presidents week. It seems as if only the North East has that week off. I would love opinions! Thanks!

I was down in Florida last year during Presidents Day week and while I didn't do Disney that time around, the parks we did go to were absolutely packed. We just got back from Disney on Saturday and I can tell you that February is a wonderful time to visit the parks unless you go Presidents Day weekend. This trip almost every attraction was a walkon (with the exception of much of Magic Kingdom and ToT at MGM). The other nice thing about visiting in February is that it tends to be drier than other months. This visit we had two days where it rained maybe an hour or two at most. Some visits I have made to Florida in February I have seen no rain (I tend to visit Florida every February for at least a week and a half).

Hope that helps some.

We went the week before presidents day weekend this year and the crowds were very low all week except for the friday before which is when it started to get real busy. The weather was also just perfect, not hot and not cold.

The more I think about it, the more I think Jan is probably best for us. I know it is crowded around NYE and then again around the marathon but in between it is great. Presidents week sounds like a big gamble as far as crowds go. Thanks for the replys!

We've gone in both Jan. and Feb., mostly Jan. Of course, there are no crowds in Jan., but the weather is so much nicer in Feb.!!! Last year, we went in Jan. and it was so cold there was frost on our windshield one morning and it was like 36 degrees!! We just got back from our last trip last week, and the weather was great, upper 70's all week, and the crowds weren't too bad, but we also didn't arrive until Feb. 22nd, the Sat. after Presidents' week, so the crowds could have died down by then. Good luck with your choice and have fun!!:D

It will be crowded around that week as others are doing the same thing. Maybe you could pick another time. Good luck
