Jan/Feb 06 - We're next!

Jan/Feb 2006 people - we're finally next in line for discounts! Anyone else anxiously waiting for the next batch of codes? I'm hoping that since it's "value" season, some great package or room-only deals will be released.

So how long do you think we'll have to wait? Any guesses on what kind of specials are going to be released? I'll take just about anything at this point!

WoooHooo...I am really hoping for something great. I already have a package booked for January with AAA, but if a code is released and I can save more money...that would be even better. Maybe we will hear something soon...

We will be at POP Dec 31 - Jan 8 and I am hoping for a discount of some sort but have my doubts.
I feel that with a lot of schools not going back until Jan 9 plus Marathon weekend Jan 7-8, any possible discounts may not start until later in the month.
But, I hope I am very wrong!!!!

I saw a TV ad last night about Jet Blue starting to fly between Newark and Sanford at $69 one-way. Oh, baby, if we could land that and a WDW room discount, we are so there!

Actually President's week is Peak season. This will be the first President's week trip that I check in during Peak season. Usually we fly down the last day of value season to take advantage of the lower rates.

i just booked akl cl using aaa. it was actually just $13 more than ap brp so i went for the flexibility that comes with the aaa rate! it still would be great if some great code came out for jan/feb or an ap deal! here's to hoping!!

Well I booked all my ADRs this morning (Dec 31 check-in) just in case there is a good discount or free dining. If there is a good discount, I will put the saved $ towards buying a dining package. Without a good discount I won't buy the dining package and cancel most of the ADRs.
I won't cancel CRT though!!. Can't believe I got it first try!!!!

i heard a rumor that if the number crunchers at disney like what they see from the free dining promo for hurricane season, that it might be offered again... got my fingers and toes crossed hoping it will happen! NOTHING sells dh on a trip to wdw like FREE FOOD!

I'm hoping, hoping, hoping! I'm getting anxious, but planned for the worst (full price).

I didn't book through AAA because it sounded like a pain and I just am hoping that a discount comes out.

I'd love to save some money, but I'm curious if I could even use a code.

See the situation is this...I booked our room-only with AAA discount through WDW Travel and added the park tickets. Would I be able to cancel all of that and upgrade to a package if a package deal came out? In order words, can I cancel park tickets or am I "stuck" because I already bought them?

I'm wondering because free dining would be great, but I know the dining is only part of a package and where I already bought the park tickets separate, I didn't know if I could upgrade to a package at this point.

IMHO, I don't think free dining will be offered in Jan/Feb. But lets hope I am wrong.
Yesterday was my 90+ 10 day so I went ahead and made some fabulous ADRs just in case free dining comes out. If it doesn't I will cancel 3 ADRs and keep 3 ADRs that we would do regardless. If we do get offered free dining, I will have all my ADRs set.
You know what would be great, buy dining for one person, next person gets it free etc . That would make dining half price for those with 2 or 4 in their party. But wouldn't really seem right for odd numbered parties. How about 50% off of dining. That would be a treat, wouldn't it? I would easily give up my AAA room only discount for half price dining!!!
