Jan. 29, 2012 Dream cruise

I booked some things today, since my booking window opened.
Just wanted to let y'all know the status of open cabanas. As of 4:30pm on 10/1/11 the following cabanas are open: 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 on the family beach & 19 and 20 on Serenity Bay.

Thank You ! :)

If it's not too much trouble can you tell us how Palo and Remy is looking (HUG)

Yesterday they were both looking pretty good for brunch and dinners. I did look at them. I'm waiting for my friend to pay off her cabins so I can book us all for brunch.

Thanks jilljill! I'm hoping for Palo brunch but am apprehensive about booking it in advance as I don't know if my daughter will be fine with the kids club.
I'm looking for an english tutor so hat she will be able to talk at least a little bit ith other children.
She broke her arm last week and one of her first comments was:"I'm glad it didn't happen on the cruise ship, because I couldn't do Aquaduck with the cast."

Soooo, as I have the perfect shopping trip scheduled for November, what do you all think, are we enough cabins for FE exchange? Would you be interested, if yes, how would we proceed?
I don't know how many cabins there have to be and it seems, compared to ther cruise meet threads that we aren't that many people, but on the other hand, it would be so special.
What do you think?

mimmi - I would definately book Palo brunch ahead of time, you can always cancel it onboard if you need to.
I hope I'm not sounding too stupid here, what is your native language?
Sorry to hear about the broken arm. Sounds like she has a positive outlook and won't do anything to slow her healing process.

FE's can be done with a few cabins, there are no actual rules.

Our native language is german (although some Germans would disagree ).
Thanks for your advice, I will try to get a Palo reservation, my dughter usually loves kids clubs so I guess she will be fine and gets to practice her english. She learns english in school and I think she actually knows much more than she realizes as she never has to speak with foreigners when she is with me. Hopefully there will be openings at Palo 75 days out.

Hello all,
I just booked this cruise last Thursday. It will be myself, DW, DS(7), DD(4) and DD(2). Getting ready to make Palo and It's A Small World nursery reservations on Oct. 31st. We were going to surprise the kids with the cruise at the end of our WDW trip, but we're horrible about keeping surprises. jilljill, would you know the price for the cabana's at the family beach? We haven't been on a DCL cruise since 2005, so I'm reading everything I can about the Dream. The nice thing about booking so late is we don't have a long wait before the cruise.:dance3:

The cabanas are $499 for up to 6 people on the family beach.

As of 11:30am this morning the only cabanas left to book are 4,8,& 9 on the family beach and 19 & 20 on Serenity Bay.

Thank you for the reply. I hope there's one left when I book on the 31st. If not I will obsessively check for cancellations.

Hi there,
I will be traveling with my DH and my two daughter who are the same age as yours (although the 2 year old will be turning 3 a month and a half following the cruise so I hope she can get bumped up to the club)

Maybe we can arrange a play date on board for the kids :)

Sure, that sounds like fun. We're working on potty training for my 2 year old now, so we'll see if she's ready in time for the club. I would like the kids to be all together.

I know how you feel. My 2 year old will flip out if she she sees her sister go in the club along with the other girls we are traveling with go in the club and leave her in the dust.

They are pretty much potty trained in terms of having no accidents but seem to want supervision and a little help with wiping #2 (sorry TMI)

Hi All! We're on board~ We an hardly wait!!

This will be our first cruise ever, and it's Me, my DW, DD (13), and our Twin DDs (10)(10).
Our room is on deck 8. I'm reading all I can on boards and looking at plans. We're from Gresham, OR and since this is a cross country trip, we decided to arrive a little early and experience some parks too: going to do a day at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Dis Hollywood and Kennedy Space center! We're all so excited to have tons of fun and enjoy the ship.

We were hoping to find any others with some our kids ages, but looks like not a lot of others here. I'm sure there will be many more on board.

Nice to see you all! :)

Welcome supercards. :flower3:

There's a thread on the main boards for obtaining free tickets to Kennedy Space Center from your congressman, check it out. Right now it's on page one, but if you can't find it there just keep reading the next couple of pages and you should come across it.

We'll check it out. Looks like it might be a toss up, different states and time frame for requesting, but I drafted a note and sent to request some. Hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I'll update later with results.

Welcome :thumbsup2.

We will visit the Kennedy Space Center, too, but unfortunately it's totally uninteresting to me (space, computers, technical stuff ).
But that's the deal: my husband suffers through 7 days of Disney and I visit the Space Center, it's only fair :rolleyes1.

Thanks jilljill! :thumbsup2

You're welcome. Glad the thread was able to give you the info you needed, now hope you get the tickets. :thumbsup2

Hi there, my friend is traveling with her family and her oldest daughter is 10.

Our cruise is paid in full and we saved about $100 as the Euro has gained a bit during the last days . We decided to pay immediately, as you never know what surprises are waiting for the Eurozone.
In 14 days we can finally check in, incredible how time flies by :).

Congratulations on paying in full. Not sure if you know or not, but you can also prepay your onboard gratuities and even add some money to your onboard account to take advantage of the better exchange rate right now.

JillJill, would you mind letting me know how Remy is looking for either day 2 or 4, as well as Palo brunch?
