Got the cruise docs today...BUT....also was called by the school nurse....seems my 6 year old had a slight fever at school and red bumps on her skin they fear are chicken pox.

We got into the doctors and they said they are not sure, and we will know more in a day or so.

The doc said, even if it is chicken pox, she has been enoculated for the virus so it should be mild. She said, you should be fine to still go on the cruise, as chicken pox are generally not contageous past 5 days, which would be this saturday.

Our fear is the baby, 7 months, will get it and not start showing signs untill we need to leave.

So we are struggling to find a back up plan incase that happens.

Needless to say, i am a little stressed.

We got our DOCS today!! I was so sad 2 mnutes ago because I thought ours had not come. My husband just walk in the door and found them on the front step. I even looked when I got home. Oh I can't wait
The time should fly by now. I am off work tuesday but work everyday until we leave. We took the last flight out on Wednesday night and arrive after midnight that should be fun with our little guys. I am sure they will sleep on the plane which is fine with me. We rented a car and are staying at the embassy suites by the airport. We are leaving our car at the port with all our extra luggage. Oh I am so excited I have to go so I can rip open my docs.

here is some pixie dust so it wont be passed to the little one:

and a big for the one who has them, if thats what it is. hopefully it isnt.

I had 4 of them come down with them all within 3 days of each other.

Hi gang,
well I just got back from shopping for goodies for the fish extenders.

Dont worry parents, I stayed away from whistles, party poppers,party favors that whistle. I figured your neighbor would make you walk the plank if I gave loud favors to your kids

All kidding aside I did find a few cute things, now to look for edible goodies.

Regarding the Chicken POX....

My daugghter with the alledged chicken pox either has the mildest case know to man, or some kind of rash. They have not gotten worse in either number or intensity from yesterday to today.

We have taken all the precautions like washing bedsheets, and cleaning anything she may have come in contact with. The hardest part is not letting her be with her baby sister. It's sad to see, she wants to hold her so bad.

I will keep an eye on it, but right now i am very optimistic.

I have a question about the fish extenders? What exactly do people put in them? I have a few ideas but are snacks a good idea? I have picked up a few things here and there. Along with room numbers can people post the age and gender of the kids going along too.

I have given up on trying to read all the previous posts. Call me lazy. Have gotten the past couple of days read though. Busy, busy.. we are looking for a house and my work has been nuts. Cannot wait to RELAX and do almost nothing for a few days.
We are getting fired up. Got our docs Monday, checked in and ready to go. Kids are excited. Me too!!!

Here are a few things we have received in the past, that may giv eyou some ideas.

small sticky note pads
disney stickers
candys of all kinds
mangets
decorative pencil erasers decorative ones, disney themed
eye patches
all kinds of party favors, horns, balloons
bubbles
plastic spider rings
bottled water
note pads
plastic bendy characters
miniature bags of chips
hersheys kisses

thats a few things we have recieved, that should head you in
the right direction.

I am the biggest kid of all but my age I'm not posting
I guess some denture adhesive or hearing aid batteries, depends, or some no doz to keep me up past 7 p.m. would be helpful for my gift

Quick question-It has been about 4 years since we sailed on the Wonder.
Any major changes?

ok there are 2 major changes
one is the new water splash area for toddlers. It is by the side of the mickey slide. it is perfect for toddlers.

second is the jumbotron or aerial vision outdoor movie screen.

Did they have the Pirate party then? If not they have that instead of the tropical party they use to have.

Not sure which shows they had them but now it is The Golden Mickeys, Disney Dreams and Hercules, but next April Hercules will be gone and a new Toy Story show will be there in its place.


Where do you want to move too?
We have 2 houses for sale in Florida. Hint Hint!!
One in Poinciana and one in Fruitland Park. both are newer and in great shape!

Sorry, the market is so bad for selling I have to tell everyone who mentions wanting to buy a house in Florida

We too, have documents!!! What a sigh of relief, although I know we could have made it work without them; it seems "more real" to have them in hand.

Jackie--My DD rides English for the most part, has tried Western a couple of times. She just had her second dressage show on Sunday. She began lessons almost one year ago. I believe it has helped instill confidence in her (although she gave it a "go", team sports are not her thing at this point). Her trainer says, get those legs nice and strong and in spring she can start jumping! Tell me about your daughter..what does she ride, and for how long...and the worst question of all does she have her own pony?

Lurker--My thoughts and prayers are with your daughter. Can't wait to see you all on the cruise, because I feel confident whatever it is will run its course and be all finished! (My next door neighbor has pink eye, and I told my kids DO NOT go anywhere near that house!!)

Kelly got hers too, although she hasnt posted it yet.
We are all set

Now everyone make sure you post room numbers and kids ages if your doing the fish extender exchange.

I know a few posted that info at the first couple of pages but many new people have joined since then, so please post it one more time for everyone.

We have another nice lady who will be posting here today and she is doing the exchange too, so she will need to know your room numbers too.

I wont give details, she can introduce herself.

Mary Lee,
My daughter is 9 and is horse crazy, she started riding at age 5 and rode until she was 7, but then she was injured and had to stop for a while. My sister has a horse farm about 3 minutes from our house and I keep my old retired thoroughbred there, she rides him every chance she gets, it's kind of hard during the winter for her to ride, but she is at the barn every weekend to help out and spoil her equine best friend I'm sure Justine and your daughter will have a ton in common
