I would like to share our trip report with all you from our fantastic cruise last week!
Pretrip: We were invited to accompany our neighbors (who is also my husbands business partner) and their group on the Disney Wonder for Four Magical days! How could we say no? As Florida residents we received a great rate of $310 a person for a category 9 stateroom! I was so excited. We decided not to bring our kids as this was a couples cruise. There were four couples, two older couples (50s) and two younger couples (30s). We were part of the younger couples. I arranged for my father and mother in law to fly down from NY to stay with our kids. I had purchased the passsporter cruise guide and I read and reread it countless times. I read the DIS boards and subscribed to MCFL. I learned so much. We were first time cruisers, so we were like sponges when it came to info. I bought each couple a passporter and also copied the navigators and the menus from the DCL tribute website. I made folders for each couple. We sat down as a group the week before and discussed what we all wanted to do so we could have a game plan as to the bookings I would have to make. The group named me The Cruise Director! A week prior to leaving we received our cruise documents and realized that we were upgraded to a category 5 handicapped stateroom! Woo Hoo! A Veranda! We were so excited. I planned and shopped and planned and shopped some more! This was going to be a great trip! My in laws arrived Saturday afternoon. They drove down and just missed the huge snowstorm in the North! So far so good!
