I had a question about the character signings. What type of things do people leave? T-shirts, pillowcases? I was thinking a photo matte. Do you think that would be ok? Has anyone done this? Just wondering how well it would travel. I don't want it to get bent. Also, I have read that people leave treats for the characters as well. What sort of things do they leave. Do you just put it in the bag with the stuff to get signed? So sharpie markers work on the clothing or should I buy fabric markers?
So many questions and I'm running out of time.

I have read on the boards that a lot of people do the photo matte. Just get a stiff mailer envelope to carry it in. We did pillowcases last time and probably again this time. I put a big pack of colored sharpies and a bunch of movie sized candy in the ziplock bag I took it in...

In my opinion girls are easier.......so i guess it can go both ways
Also I had a friend once who got an ulta sound....they said it was a girl they DECKED OUT THE ROOM IN PINK canopy bed ruffles bows you name it it was the most beautiful room i had ever seen for a baby and she had a boy.


LOKKA......I know what youmean by packing and repacking
I used to do this too when i would pre pack or go far with the kids

But now i use these 2 methods to help releave some of that.

1. I tie a tag to each bag(large tag made out of paper and write a list of each item i have put in the bag.

2. I use a the largest size zip loc available and write on them the days of the week and usually one fot each person and seperate clothes this way.
(this way if you dont trust your list on the outside you can easily lift a bag out of the luggage and see a day at a time.

Boys are definitely MUCH easier! I was worried about having a boy as I was/am the most girly girl and wasn't sure what the heck to do with a boy, but they are SO SWEET!!

I love your packing method. Think I'm going to steal it!

YES, you should!!

I have heard nothing but good things about Nachi Cocom. The other plus to that one is there will be quite a few of our cruise mates there so i don't feel as nervous. That is the only reason I booked somethign that is not DCL. The fact that parasailing was HALF the price DCL charges, had somethign to do with it too. It seems like an awesome price for an all inclusive(including alcohol) resort.

We're set for Nachi Cocom too! Can't wait! Swim up bar! Not a clothing optional one, I don't think, but you can't have it all!

Kelli had "?" for us originally on the Magnets and Scavenger. I know Kelli is traveling and not sure if some of you received the final list, but if not our family,cabin #7509 is planning to participate in all FEs, Magnets, Scavenger Hunt, & meets. I know Kelli updated list with us participating, but last list I found in my email still showed 11-24 update with "?" on Magnets so I wasn't sure if I had final either.

When you get this, if you are still making any minor adjustments or updates to list you can take off Linda Poulter cabin from doing FEs or Magnets. She will do the meets. If already set, she is ok still doing it, or not, either way. She and I thought since FE list is getting pretty large, and probably more focused toward kids, she would have just as much fun helping us prepare and deliver ours with her grandkids and would be one less adult cabin for others. We are ok on her cabin either way, just let us know. I know you tried sending but I don't think final list came through on my email and looked the same as the 11-24 list. Thank you again for all your work putting list together. This is going to be such fun activities, especially for the kids!

GOOD NEWS! I will NOT be going to dinner naked! I found a dress I fell in love with! Went and the first one on the rack was my size. I took it as a good sign. I had my mom come with me because DH says everything looks good on me(but he is supposed to say that) where as my mom is brutally honest. I tried it on and it fit as if it were meant for me! She loved it so it took me about 7 seconds to take it off and buy it! I even found shoes!

That sounds like a great plan. We have vacationed in January for the past several years and have really enjoyed it.
I have finished my FE"s though and feeling a little less pressure now about that. Still waiting to see when the magnet cutoff will be so I can complete those too. I'm hoping it will be before Christmas.
I must say that making homemade FE's and magnets has been alot of fun. !

Wow, looks like it's been a few days since I last posted here... Hum... Or, you know, three months!

I've booked us a night at the Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport for a meagre $45, all thanks to Priceline!

So far I just settled on one excursion, at Cozumel. It's the Thrilling, the Invigorating, the Ever-Exciting, the Über-Action-Packed Mexican cooking workshop!

I am having such trouble with them, they keep blowing out the breakers and my DH is in TEXAS and i hope he is freezing his BUTT off!!!

But i keep having to go OUTSIDE in this NON FLORIDA weather to turn the breaker back on.

I am goign to have to duct tape towels over the air conditioners to keep the cold air out.

THIS IS JUST CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEll YESTERDAY WAS MY LKAST DAY AS A GM OF A RESTAURANT

I stepped down on my own i asked to be transferred to an ASST MANAGER, i was done with the 80 + hour work week.

DH and i have been discussing it for months now and made the final decision.

IT was hard for me in many ways as this is really the first step in my retirement which i realize is many years away but it is the way wwe have always talked baout ding things.

And the lesser money which is why i have continually said this si our last DISNEY cruise for a long while.

IT is a step in our life journey, it is weird.
But in the end i feel less stressed already and cant wait to continue my life journey.

Last night my kids promoted to RED BELTS in TKD! Only 2 steps away from a black belt now! I am so proud! Sadly I missed it though because of this stupid flu.

You have definitely made the right choice. Stress is never worth the extra money. I leave work early whenever they allow it just so I have more time with my family. I feel I never see them anymore with my DH and I being on opposite shifts.

PLEASE be careful with those space heaters! Sounds like they are all plugged into outlets that are all on the same circuit. If they are blowing the breakers, try plugging them into plugs that are on different circuits. If they are plugged into different circuits and still tripping the breakers then something is wrong with either the wiring or the space heaters and you should not use them. Of course, easy for me to say... but I worry they can cause a fire. This info was supplied by my DH who is an electrical engineer and he also does loads of electrical work in our rental properties... I hope it warms up for y'all REALLY soon!

Yeah, right?! So, has anyone gotten GTY's assigned yet? I have always read it happens around 45 days out and that's TODAY!! I check our reservation at DCL every now and then to see if any pixie dust has happened and we got bumped up to the Walt Suite! Yeah, I know, that's SO gonna happen!

My Bro got his cabin assignment today...a bit of an upgrade..they paid for standard inside and got a deluxe inside so at least it's a little more space for them. The bad news is that they are not near to us. Oh well, just a elevator ride away.
Hope you all who are waiting for their assignments are happy with what you got!

Hello Dear co-sailors!

Am I the only one not able to book Palo for tea? I log on at midnight on the first day it was open for the first-timers and was able to secure brunch and dinner, but nothing was available for tea.

Maybe reservations don't open until later, or on board? Or... all of you Castaway Club members took 'em?
