Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

LOL! Ya, Ewww. One of my good friends ex BFs was posting on my Facebook last night that it was 80°F there yesterday! They live in Tampa! I told them they might need to make room in case I decide not to come back and move in with them...lol. I am SO excited! I really can`t wait!

Ok, so Nachi Cocom... Who all is goign there? Or will it just be my family? I heard SO much talk about it early on the boards.

We will be there...

$10000???!!!! Seriously! I've heard you can upgrade at the pier for around $1500 if available. I am quite shocked though as we upgraded to a Grand Suite on RCI in 2006 for $700. Keep checking that there are suites available and I'm sure you can upgrade at the pier much cheaper!

That is completely insane! I would never leave the cabin for that price! :lmao: I am sure port will have better prices...

Hey guys! We're in for Nachi!!! :cool1:
I am kicking myself because it was my first choice to begin with and I talked myself out of it... then a couple of months and much agonizing and researching every possible option later, I decided back on it yesterday.
She just got back to me and there was room! I never thought there would be at this point because there are a bunch of ships in Coz the same day as us,
So if anyone would still like to go... email now! :)

Anyway, I submitted the form for our deposit. I booked it through cozumelcruiseexcursions.com . Did anyone else use them? I did just because they got back to me faster, I had submitted requests there and on the Nachi site directly.

Glad to see we'll have a group going! :thumbsup2 Our kids really love swimming and I figure the pool will be great, since the ones on the ship are so small. They'll have a great time swimming and getting "pretty" drinks. LOL

We are going to Nachi Cocom. It seems like a great place, all inclusive including alcohol, heated pool in case it is a cool day, hot tub, swim up bar and a limit of 100 people! I would love to see lots of our group taking up the 100 spots! Would sure make it fun IMO. OH! And if you end up at Nachi Cocom you can see the lady that is scared of Heights and Water... PARASAILING!

Too funny!! i am now debating whether to get Jet Skis there instead of doing the CC excursion... guess I'll have to figure that one out still!
Parasailing is fun... did it on our honeymoon... and I am VERY VERY scared of heights... I literally have gotten so weak in the knees that I had to crawl on the floor when I've been in certain situations. LOL My poor daughter takes after me. Anyway, I wasn't scared parasailing for some reason. It was relaxing. So you'll do great!

Ok, maybe I am missing something, but I don't see this on the excursion list. It sounds like something DH and I did on our last trip to Cozumel, and would probably be great for us. Maybe it's already full? Is it listed as something else?

It's not through DCL, it's one you book on your own.
Their site is:
http://www.cozumelnachicocom.net/
I booked it through this site because it was a faster response:
http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/CozumelBeachBreak.htm

Trip advisor reviews here:

Hope that helps!!!

My DD is pretty scared of heights too but our neighbor said she did it when she was 11 so now she wants to do it. The boys are going solo but she and I are going tandem. I was going to book this through CC but the price difference was too much to pass up! We are doing the fun water things at Nachi and just relaxing or doing a bike ride on CC.

Nachi Cocom is not a DCL excursion. You can book it here.... http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/cozumelbeachbreak.htm

I hear it is a short taxi ride to the beach. Maybe if they have bus type taxis we can get a group together to travel at the same time?

Hey melissa, I'll be 17 weeks on the cruise. Smells are making me so sick right now, my DH is getting a little grumpy with the growing cost of take out! Did you get the mickey shirt from Mothehood? it'll be fun to have a fellow prego on the cruise.

SO question on the FB page....I have a facebook account what do I look for to find everyone???? i'm Jennifer hall-Roy on FB

My kids wanted to meet (see and chat)with the other kids on the cruise.

Finally got are airline tickets, phew it was making me a little worried that we were waiting so long. Still a little worried about security. We are flying AA so there's no xray scanner on there wing here. We live in Coeur d'Alene ID but have to fly out of Spokane WA, it's about 40 min away.

IT's 7 degrees F here not to mention the wind storm were having, I can't even go in the garage. YUCK!

So if any of my fellow canadians ( i'm from Vancover BC) could bring me a box of smarties or a coffee crisp I would kiss your feet!!!:worship: So craving them:worship:

It just so happens I was bringing some for someone else so I will be sure to add you to my list!

I sent you the FB info in an IM. See you on there soon!

That sounds fun! We are planning on going to Nachi Cocum, but there is always time for shopping, and there is a purse Alex really wants from there... Having someone to translate would be awesome!

Welcome aboard! Glad to have y'all. For further info, check out post #37. Also check out the stickies at the top of the forum for the alphabetical info and look up Fish Extenders (FEs). I will PM you my e-mail address with the info I'll need if y'all want to participate. You won't be able to PM back until you have 10 posts...

Thank you Tinkerkell and Lokkabear. I do not have PM on DIS yet so I just emailed you our information @ kelliwynne30@yahoo. I included our names and room number information. Let me know if there is anything else you need now. I looked at the FE designs last night and we are looking forward to making one for each cabin. Thanks for organizing it, these sound like a very fun thing to do onboard.

Tinkerkell & Lokkabear, p.s. Thanks we received your PMs. I cannot post PMs yet since newly signed onto site.

We are definitely in for the FEs. I need to find out a little more about the meet, scavenger hunt, and magnet exchange first but those sound fun and sometime we would be interested in doing too.

I will read the posts and see what exactly is involved in those and the Magnet Exchange in particular. Is that more for the hobby collectors, like the Pin Trading that happens in the parks or is it just like the FEs, but placing Disney or related magnets on stateroom doors of those participating?
Thanks again for organizing and looking forward to a fun cruise and meeting many new friends.

I sent a box of the Halloween mix to Kelli with Canadian Smarties, Coffee Crisps, Kit Kats and Aero bars and I hear they were a hit. I promised more when I got there so I am sure it won't take too much packing space to bring some for you...lol

To those of you sending friend requests to our facebook group:
please remember to identify yourself in your request. This makes it easier on both of us as I will not be accepting any invites from people not in our group. Thank you!

oh man the smells that drove me crazy when i was pregnant. i loved being pregnant for the most part but the smell of coffee and red wine would put me over the edge. My DH would always laugh at how what ever food commercial was on I suddenly needed that instantly. lol

I'm pretty sure we can fill that request

I've been researching shore excursions in Cozumel and just can't seem to come up with anything that is appealing to DH and me, yet suitable for a pre-schooler. I think I understand correctly that one may leave children in the kids' club during shore excursions. Is this true? Has anyone done it? Something about leaving her behind on a floating vessel while I venture off onto foreign soil makes me uncomfortable. Surely the pagers don't work onshore.

One option I'm considering is for all three of us to go ashore for the San Gervasio ruins/explore Mexican culture park excursion. It's three hours and seems to be somewhat kid-friendly, plus it would give the DD a (mild, and somewhat Americanized) introduction to her Mexican heritage. Then I'll pack my DH and DD back off to the ship and head into town to do some shopping. Or, I will just leave them on the ship and go it alone. I speak fluent Spanish and can make my way around without any trouble, but there's safety in numbers. Anyone else interested in a little ladies' afternoon shopping excursion? Or is anyone else who is already planning to roam interested in a little free translation service? I'll help you get a good deal on some silver! ;)

I think i would be a little worried about leaving a preschooler.....I have left my teen and preteen on board while we went shopping just right outside the boat in either st thomas or st martin dont remeber now which

ALSO WOULD DEF be INTERESTED IN A GIRLS SHOPPING.....sounds great!!!!
