I have searched high and low and cannot find if there are any discounts available for Jan 2014 yet? I have pins but those were for free dining.

Any ideas?

The January discounts for 2013 were released to the general public early in October last year. You might have to wait another month or two for January 2014 discounts. :)

The Play/Stay/dine offer will be bookable as a general public offer the 2nd week of October. Probably around the 9th.
There is no free dining for Jan- March..it's all P/s/d or Room discounts.

How does the P/S/D work?

In the past, we've gone the last few days of Feb and first few days of March and gotten free dining then. Without sounding testy, how do you know there won't be free dining Jan-Mar?

Thanks!

(Really, not being testy.)

Pins are out already for that time frame with the SPD deal. Disney isn't going to give the public a better discount than their 'special offers' in pin codes. Pin codes typically have a. If get selection of dates and/or better deals. That's what makes them special. This past spring the public got SPD and free dining pins went out. Since the pins already show SPD it is pretty solid.

SPD has adults paying child prices for dining and tickets.

Is there any way I can figure out ahead of time which would work best for us--P/s/d or a room discount?

We're 3 adults, POP Century, regular dining plan, 5 days of tickets and 6 nights.

It's very easy to figure out.
#1-Go on the Disney website and price out a room only reservation for your dates.

#2- Go on the Disney website and price out your park tickets only. Chose Childs rates only for those tickets.

#3- Value resort comes with the ability to purchase the QS Dining plan at the Kids price. $15.75
Now you have to add in your upgrade from QS to DDP which is the adult price difference. ($58.66-$39.64)$19.02
So your DDP will cost you $15.75 + $19.02 =$34.77 approx per adult per night.

Add 1, 2 & 3 up and that is a close approx cost to your trip ;)

Thanks! I did that, and see it would only cost $160 more to go to a Moderate resort instead of POP.

Do you know if there are ever any Moderates that are excluded from the PSD offers? I was looking at either Port Orleans French or Port Orleans Riverside.

If staying at a Mod you pay $18.88 or so a night for the dining plan.
POFQ was excluded I think..

Wow, thanks for posting how to do that, I didn't realize it would be so much per person to upgrade to deluxe dining from reg dining until i seen your post so i went and figured it and $65. per day per adult.

I am trying to figure this out but I think my brain is just too tired. Someone help me please!!! We are going 1/16-1/22, staying at ASMu. 2 adults, 2 kids ages 4,6.

we need to know what type of room and what type of park tickets you are going to purchase.

From the what was in the PIN codes that went out mid-July, only exclusion was Disney Art of Animation - Little Mermaid Standard rooms.

I would post link to forum post...have to have more than 10 post on the forum. Look for old posts around July 15.

Was POFQ excluded from SPD?

Thanks!

This is the promo from January 2013.. this will be the promo for the same period in 2014.

While it lists the exclusions for certain rooms there are always additional room categories / hotels that do not offer rooms when the promo actually goes live. In January if my memory serves me correct. POR there were available rooms but POFQ there were not. It always depends on how many existing reservations each resort has when the promo begins.
