Jan 2011 Start planning

Had to cancel Jan 2010 so I am planning for Jan 2011. Anyone else??? Let's start planning together.

You are so lucky!!!! With all the graet deals I am sure you lucked out.I am sick I have to wait another year due to family issues, not the economy! Oh well I will see Mickey soon enough I guess.

We just got back from our first trip (Jan 3-13) and had such an amazing time we are going to make it an annual trip!! I am with you on planning!! January 2-12, 2011 HERE WE COME!!

Our last trip was in Jan and we loved it. We also go at this time. I am from the rainy west coast and need a sun fix in the winter. We also find we benefit from both the extra perks for the holiday crowds at the beggining of Jan and then the lower crowds shortly after. The year we went we also had one water park open when we arrived and the other opened before we left.

We are going to book for the same dates and I want to start planning but so much is depending on deals, codes and our year that I really can't do much yet except dream. It will be a mod, or deluxe, park hoppers, or not. Water parks I think I'll skip since the weather can be cool.

For now either Port Orleans, Fort Wilderness Cabins or Poly...depending.
Dining plan - yes!
Park Hopper - didn't need them last time but it was June and so hot and crowded that we spent more time at the pool than in the parks so not sure about that. I like the idea of them, though

We're going in January 2011 too! I'll need that long to save up for a 7-8 day trip with my fam. We'll probably stay at Pop and get Park Hoppers. We'll wait and see about the dining plan - all depends on the deals!

Definitely didn't need water parks last week!! BRRRR!! We will definitely do the ASMu family suite again! Was PERFECT for our family of 5! We loved having 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, and being able to fold up the kids beds and acutally have a living area to relax in. I can't imagine staying anywhere else! Let's all keep our fingers crossed for free dining for next January...the dining plan is a MUST! A girl can dream, right??

I'm hoping that they'll have promos similar to this year. We're thinking about a split stay at Pop and some other undertermined resort. We really can't decide which one.

We LOVED the family suite!! You should definitely look into them! I was so afraid we would be stepping all over each other but they are so roomy! Not one complaint from the kids about the fold-out beds either. They all said they were very comfortable! The suites are also in the buildings closest to the food court and bus stops! Can't beat that!

Today is my 29th b-day. I am planning my 30th b-day with my entire family in Disney! We will be there Jan 15-22, 2011!

Anybody know if they offer larger parties any discounts, or have any idea what type of discounts they may be offering at that time? I have around 20 people and am reserving 6 rooms at Pop Century.

We will probably go the end of Jan and have 2 or 3 rooms depending on if my son decides to come too. It will be me ,DH< DD< DSIL< 2 DGS. It will be my 65th birthdaY and 15th trip to WDW. We are panning on staying at POR.
???? Dining plan..not sure we want to do so many sit down dinners with the ADR hassel this time. We stopped doing park hoppers due to time wasted in travel. But I just got the 2010UNofficial Guide and am reading that every night for new and different ideas.CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

My best friend, her husband, and I have been planning a Jan 2011 trip for about six months now. Right now, we're planning on going somewhere around Jan 5 for seven nights. We've got two different college schedules to work around, as well as all three of our work schedules. Right now, we're planning on staying at Caribbean Beach, but we may switch to Fort Wilderness if, by some chance, we end up with a fourth person coming. I'm an obsessive planner and a former CM and we're all sorta broke, so it made sense for us to start planning 18 months in advance
