I sent in a reqest and asked for Lisa for rates for January as well. Unfortunately I got someone else and rates of $400+ per night for gardenview for 1/21 - 1/25. Sounds way too high for me!

The Magical Vacations winter rate is only good Jan 6-16, so your dates are outside of the range for the deal. I got $214 a night for BC for Jan 6-11 from Lisa, which is a fantastic rate and less than half of what Disney is charging right now for those dates, but, after our vehicle adventures this past weekend, we're sticking with POP.

I'm a little late to the party (and new to the board in general), but I thought I'd put my two cents in for a January deal!!! We booked 5 nights in September with a pin code at WLV, but for family reasons we had to reschedule for January. We're re-booked for 8 nights in a 1BR at WLV with a AAA rate, but there's no way we can swing that without a better discount. My mom is joining us for the second half, so we might end up stay off-site. I really really hope not though, because we've never stayed on-site and decided to splurge this time because we're taking our (then) 20-month-old son for his first Disney visit. So here's to a good bargain!

She gave me an AWSOME rate for January, club level poly of $249 per night so really, thank you, thank you!!

Also, she mentioned that they have ben very busy these last couple of weeks and I did tell her that I got her name from here.

So I'm looking into Magical Vacations. Are they usually better than the promo codes that come over at the end of October (for Visa and AP members)? Is it worth booking now, and be done, or secure the room via a different site and be able to apply the codes that come out?

OK...I have booked all our flights, so now I need someone to get some reliable leaks from a CM about deals for Jan/Feb. I tried over the weekend when I converted room onlys to packages. All she could tell me is that I can call and ask if there is a PIN code associated with my name. I guess we're still too far out from a deal being released - nothing has filtered down to the CMs yet.

I'm joining in here! Not sure if I'm going in Janauary, but if I decide to do the marathon I'll be there! In fact, that is one of the only reasons I am considering the race - so ic an get back to Disney!! Normally I would go with my running friends and not my family (too expensive), but with the 15 month annual pass deal going on I may ask for passes for Christmas. Then I could bring everyone for the weekend!! Let's hope they don't start the good deals right after marathon weekend.

this is our first trip ever staying on disney property. so i have no experience to relay. I will tell you that Lisa, was very upfront with me that the codes may be better through disney, and if they were just to call her and cancel. as long as it is 5 days before arrival, there is no cancellation penalty.

seems like a win-win situation to me. i have a good price now and if a deal or code comes out i can just rebook.

Thanks! I saw that after I sent in my request, but obviously too late then. We'll probably stick with Shades of Green unless Disney comes out with a good deal for January. I'd love to see free Dining. I'd switch to PO in a heartbeat! Our DHs are returning from Iraq in December and we are doing the 4 night cruise and then 4 nights at Disney in January. Don't want to go toooooo over budget!

Thanks, I just don't think I will make it to the end of October (like last year). I just need to add some days to our DVC reservation. Watching for Jan. 21-24. Pretty sure I'll see an AP rate, but free dining or discounted dining for AP holders would be a nice switch. (Sort of like the discounted dining that CMs get when things are slow.)
