I hope that I will be able to get a room reservation if I wait until the deal is announced? We went in January last year, had booked our room before the deal was announced, and when I heard the announcment, I called my TA and it wasnt any good for the promotion. We would have had to cancel the entire package and re-do everything. We couldnt get two adjoining rooms either which we wanted. It all worked out in the long run, two days before we left we got an upgrade from *** to CBR. It was awesome!

I heard a rumor that the deal is going to be the 4/3 + $200 gift card + buy the DDP for 4 nights get it for free 3 nights...

Oh wait! That was just the dream I had last night.

I, too, was there in January for that cold week. I'm getting that Disney bug again...Can anyone catch me up to speed? Is there any rumor of a buy 4, get 3 deal out there or are y'all just very hopeful?

Stinky Pete, that would an awesome deal, hoping what you heard becomes a reality. I want to head back in January also this year. When you mentioned the DDP, is that the deluxe or just the basic dining plan? Some use the DDP abbreviation when they mean the Disney Dining Plan, just wondering what you meant? Thanks.

Oh yea...it was the deluxe plan.

Hope it is soon!!! I am starting to obsess about a code for January. I so want to book and traditionally I do not book a room until codes come out. We already bought airline tickets.

I booked the dolphin at $143.20/night; with tax, resort fees that's 171.10/night at the AAA rate. But the good price disappeared quickly. We keep checking every day and if we get a better rate we rebook.

I'm with you on that! Unfortunately it doesn't mean the beginning of Sept...

Originally I was thinking I would stay at POP. I wasn't worried about not having a room whenever the discounts came out, so I was going to wait to book.

But the more I thought about it I realized I wouldn't really enjoy it as much as my beloved WL. Right now there are standard view rooms available at WL, which is fine with me, but I know they go quickly because of the lower cost. Now I'm thinking I should book now and hope for a juicy discount that I can apply to my reservation.

Southwest AIrlines opens up their flights tomorrow. Right now schedule shows to Jan 8 - tomorrow it goes out to March 12th.

I've been checking the rates at Dolphin for 1/8-1/14 for the past few months and they've been really high. I checked tonight and there's a double bed room for $168.20 (which is $199.22 after taxes and fees). I'm going to keep checking for cheaper rates. I booked a room and will wait to see if Disney comes out with any good deals. If not, Dolphin it is!

We are booked for All Star Sports Jan. 22 to the 30th!!! Can't wait but I am still hoping for some type of discount....when we went in Jan. 2008 we got the water park and more and hopper upgrade for free...that was nice but really hoping for something more this time! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

See that would mean absolutely nothing to me. I have no desire to go to the water parks (especially in January!). I would cancel my trip if that's all they offer.
