Jan 2010 Code Watch

I know the decorations are down before Marathon weekend and that's January 9th this year. :(

Well, they weren't all down - we were there for Marathon weekend also and stayed at POFQ, where the decorations were still up and Christmas carols a la Dixieland were still being played. Kind of neat, actually.
:goodvibes

Oh I didn't know that! All the pictures and reviews I've seen have said they're down already. Now I'm excited I might get to see some! :)

Hi - I am a little confused on the converting your room only res to a package.
one Disney rep told me that i had to convert the room to package 90 days before my trip or face a $200 extra fee to convert. Another disney rep told me there was no fee, just had to add the package 72 hours in advance of arrival. :confused3

Any thoughts? thanks! :hippie:

I have never heard of an additional fee for converting to a package. The deposit on a package is $200. When you convert your room only to a package, if you have not paid a $200 deposit you will have to make up the difference...at least that is what I had to do in the past. You may want to see what a 3d CM has to say.

I have room only now for Jan. 7-13. With my Disney Visa I get 6 mos same as cash terms on a package. I am thinking of adding dining when I get close to the 45 day mark. That way, my 6 mos starts running sometime in November, rather than Aug when I booked the room only.

Appreciate it! I was going to call again, but spent sooo much time on the phone about this already that I just was not looking forward to another long call.

By the way, i love your screen name, notes and most especially your giraffe. :rotfl:

Thanks and have a great day!! :cool1:

We stayed at Poly for a week in January last year on the 4/3 deal. It was FABU! But super cold that week of MLK day.

Next year we are going for the same week, along with my sister and nephew, so we are staying at Pop. Hoping for another great deal and warmer weather!

We were considering Poly in Jan./Feb. if they run 4/3 again. Do you mind if I ask what the per night rate was and if it was for Garden view, etc.?

Yes, I would be curious what you paid for the 4/3 deal at the Poly, if you wouldn't mind! :goodvibes

Joining in to wait with you all! I have booked room only at WL for Jan 2-5 for our 13th Anniversary. We have since decided to change to the BC but I'm waiting for an AP discount to officially change resorts. I figure it will save one phone call!:) You wouldn't believe how many times I have changed our Nov. family trip as new offers came out, then we bought AP's, then the wind changed direction . . . DH finally gave up and said to let him know when we get off the plane.

Does anyone have the slightest idea when they will be releasing the Jan deals? I am so tired of waiting!! Surely they won't make us wait until NOV!!!

I remember one morning leaving our Poly room with temps in the 30's. brrrrrr

I was in a GV room last Jan 27 to Feb 2. I paid the equivalent of $228.21 per night but I also had to purchase 1 day tickets which I just used last month to renew my & DD's AP's. I also got the $200 gift card. With a rack rate this year of $365 that would work out to $234.64/night if you went for 7 nights.

Last year AP rates were out in late Oct and the 4 for 3 came out in early November. In 2007 AP rates for Jan 08 came out on Halloween.

:goodvibesthinking about going in january, keeping my eye on this thread!

I heard a rumor that the deal is going to be the 4/3 + $200 gift card + buy the DDP for 4 nights get it for free 3 nights...

Oh wait! That was just the dream I had last night. :lmao:

I totally thought you were for real for a second. I can't wait, SUPER excited for a code :)

Stinky Pete, that would an awesome deal, hoping what you heard becomes a reality. I want to head back in January also this year. When you mentioned the DDP, is that the deluxe or just the basic dining plan? Some use the DDP abbreviation when they mean the Disney Dining Plan, just wondering what you meant? Thanks.
