Thanks that is what I thought! Then I'm good - we have almost enough there for our food, then we'll have almost enough on the gift card for souvenirs! This just might turn out to be one very inexpensive trip! ROTFL!

I found the info about the dates for the gift card from a bunch of pages back:


Travel between January 4th and June 27th!
Travel between January 4th and March 29th to include the Disney Gift Card.
Travel between March 29th and June 27th to include the discount, but not the Disney Gift Card.

*** it also said book anytime between 11/6 and... I think... 12/20***

So excited, just priced out 4 nights at AKL starting 1/18, which is a day earlier than I had originally booked (only because POR had no availability on that date when I booked our trip originally, and I was trying to save $$$), and it looks like I'd be able to get the 7 nights for price of 4 at AKL for only $89 more than my original 6-nt vacation at POR....and that INCLUDES spending $300 to change my airfare! Upgrading to AKL is worth it to me. (This is for a standard view room, but last time we went we got upgraded to Savannah free.)

As for the $200 gift card, I'll take it, because while we hate doing it we ALWAYS end up buying a few souvenirs. DH will be very happy to have this little slush fund. I figure it offsets meals a bit.

I hope this is the deal! I've been wanting a full week and AKL! Please Disney gods, let it be!

I think we are all hyped up & wondering about APs, codes, dining, this upcoming great deal-etc. Someone broke an example down great but I'm no math wiz so I thought anyone might know how these deals work. I've never been though any of this & it is exciting but frustrating at the same time!!!!!!!

I know they probably won't let me add to my AP discount, but from past experience, when they do 4/3 is it at off season price or reg. season price for Jan. Makes a difference.

Believe it or not, no.

There's a strong rumor going around of a stay four nights, get three nights free promotion due to be released at 5 pm today. The rest is just us hyperventilating.

No deal released yet, but there is supposed to be one released at 5:00 EST today.

Sorry, actually the deal isn't out and we're all just driving ourselves crazy speculating. The RUMOR is you buy 4 nts and get 3 free with park tickets too. If you travel 1/4 - 3/29 you also get a $200 merchandise-only gift card. Dates w/out gift card go 3/29-6/27.

Again, all rumor & speculation. We could all be barking up the wrong tree. What we DO know is the deal comes out at 5 p.m. Check the website at that time.

Someone posted that the 200.00 gift card was most likely (and them someone else said "official") like the birthday cards they are giving out in the "what will you celebrate" thingy. I don't have a clue how they know it's "official" but the birthday cards are for merchandise only they say.
