Jan 2009 Code Watch

I contacted my TA and she already knew that something "may" come out tomorrow. Not sure what time, but she is going to be up at 4:00 am her time, 6:00 am my time (EST)

Soooo....we should be doing the happy dance tomorrow.....:woohoo:

i hope

Thanks, but what if the GP Package deal includes park tickets for your entire stay? Can you use those tickets at a later date? Or are they attached to your room so you can't? Sorry if I seem a little confused, but I have never booked a package before. I feel that this huge deal is going to be a GP package deal, so I'd like to weigh all of my options so I am ready tomorrow.

You're tickets are on your room key, but you don't have to use them on that trip. You can use them later.

I was doing some pricing on the Disney website and I noticed something interesting. The room only rates for my Jan. stay at AKL have increased for Fri, Sat and Sun nights. The total for the week went up by $67, $20 each night plus tax. Is this a sign that the new deal will require a weekend stay with the higher rates?

I guess we will find out tomorrow!

I answered you above ... maybe you want just this poster's input but I can say that, traditionally, they have not made you purchase tix that match your stay, just the one day's worth. Now that could change in 2009 but none of us know yet.

I really :) appreciate your response, I knew exactly what you were talking about and meant no offense with my reply. I should have fully explained my question and response better. I was in a hurry.
People on this board were talking about the buy 4 get 3 free nights deal and it got me thinking.

Gosh, no offense taken at all. Sometimes poster just prefer the way one poster explains thing over another, for whatever reason. I didn't want to butt in where I wasn't required, that's all (other parts of this thread have made me feel sensitive about this). I hope your question was answered!

Is Tinker Bell finally sprinkling some pixie dust? I am SOOOO excited about all the developments today. Hats off to those who have done the math for us. I too remember the old sale of pay for 4 and get 3 free. That was the last time I went to Disney for a full week. We have reservations right now for a package at POFQ for Jan 17-21. Bring on the great sale and I will pump it up a few days. Bad part is that my stay right now is over MLK weekend. Keep the pixie dust coming!!!! Thanks again to all my disboard friends!!!

Yeah, I think I was posting a reply when you were posting your original reply and our paths got crossed. I don't have a favorite poster and am fairly new here. Thanks everyone for all of your posts reguarding codes. Woo hoo!

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH! :scared1:

16 pages since I went to work this morning!

Can somebody give me the synopsis on the impending deals?

I'm only home for 15 minutes and then back to work.

:flower3:

TIA.

So, do we think if they are offering a buy 4 get 3 free PACKAGE, they may offer some type of room only discount not tied to a specific number of days as well?
I am doing an adults only trip for my bday. DH is already taking a day or two off work (depending on how many days his parents will watch the kids). While I would LOVE to play at the World for a full week, there's no way I could get people to watch the kids the entire time.

What about a Disney Rewards Visa offer? Do we stand a chance for a different offer for that?

Well, I suppose I could always take the AAA 25% off. sigh. :confused3

Basically nothing just that its going to be "HUGE" according to Mousesavers

I'm trying to figure my savings if they do this pay 4/get 3 deal... how much is the regular dining plan?

Thanks!

I did this...
Standard room at a Moderate - 4 nights and get 3 free free WITH 7 day base tickets (paying for 4 day tickets) and regular dining (not free dining, you pay for 4 days, get 3 free).
It would be for 2 adults in Value season- 1444.30

IF you did it for 7 nights regular rates - total is 2221.21

All I did was go to WDW site and put in for 4 nights, 4 day base tickets and dining plan. That will give you the cost. That is assuming tickets/dining are also free for 3 days and not just the room.

Now I'm trying to calculate my savings, too! IF it's buy 4 nights, get 3 nights free - do we think that'll be with base tickets? Or will it be three free days of whatever tickets you purchased, be it base or hopper? And did this offer previously include dining? Am I making sense?

Quick Dining is 29.99 adult 8.99 child
Base Dining is 39.99 adult 10.99 child
Deluxe Dining is 71.99 adult 20.99 child

Thanks for the feedback folks... honestly, for the really budget conscious, this won't be the hottest deal. If they offer buy 4/get 3, I'll only save about $100 over the free hopper/WPFM offer. Don't get me wrong, I won't complain about an extra $100, but it's certainly not the deal of the century for me.
