Jan 2009 Code Watch

Are GP codes usually as good as AP codes? I am considering getting an AP

The GP discount is usually slightly less than the AP discount, (about $5 more on Values, for example) not enough to justify an AP unless you were staying at the pricier deluxes, IMO, and even then it's iffy.

Are Florida resident seasonal passes including in the AP discounts? That answer will determine whether we get Annual passes or seasonal passes.

Call me confused--So now there will not be a Visa code???

There was never a guarentee that there would ever be a Visa code or any code for that matter. People are just hoping that there may be one released sometime soon. Again, no guarentees.

My biggest pet peeve is people who decide to be the morality police in a thread where I am trying to get information and I have to wade through 3 pages of lectures but that didn't stop you from posting just like you aren't going to stop her from making 2 reservations.

You're absolutely right, I'm not going to stop her from making 2 reservations. But this is a public forum, so shouldn't I have the right to voice my opinion on the topic when she brought it up first?

Guess the mod's should go through each and every 'fluff' post on this thread and delete them then? You know, take out all of the morning/coffee threads and whatnot? Is that what you're saying?

So back on topic, as per your request...there will be no GP codes released tomorrow. Really, there won't be. ;)

So did anyone confirm - is DUY a real code, or should I not bother calling?

What breed is he? Think he'd like my cats? :cat: :cat:

Hi Snykymom, love that name btw, my dog is supposed to be a pocket beagle, but guess what, he is not! He came from a rescue organization, where they rescue pregnant dogs, then find homes for all. I was told he wouldn't be bigger than 12 inches, yeah right - he weighs over 50 lbs! But.. back to the code waiting!

I know we are not promised codes, but they sure are nice to have! It would be nice if a Visa Code is available. However I thought they came over before most of the other codes.

I don't know, guess I will be checking in the morning!

It looks like it was Visa, AP and then General.

So if they already did AP, maybe the Visa code is unavailable?

I just wanted to add...this is how the codes came out last year:

1/1/08-3/15/08 package deal (discount + free ticket upgrades) for Canadian residents 10/18/07, exp 12/15/07

1/1/08-3/15/08 package deal (discount + free ticket upgrades) for Disney Rewards® Visa® Cardholders 10/29/07, exp 12/15/07

1/1/08-2/13/08 Annual Passholder room-only rates 10/31/07, exp 2/13/08

1/1/08-3/15/08 package deal (discount + free ticket upgrades) for general public 11/1/07, exp 12/15/07

Well, I checked in here this morning before work, I took a few peeks when I could from work, and looks like we'll be doing this all over again tomorrow.

In the meantime, I updated my Avatar - it'a the front of our house. Those who are on this thread understand... others may not.

Of course - that makes perfect sense.... our travel dates are 1/18-1/25, going to celebrate DD's big 10th b-day ( a couple of days late)

no codes for me!

Yeah, same here. We're going from Jan 16-25...I wonder if Disney is expecting it to be busy that week, since it's excluded from the code?

Oh well, I was looking forward to having a condo so we wouldn't be crowded. It looks like that definitely the option we're taking, rather than staying on-property.
