Does anyone know if there was a general public room only code for Jan 2008?

I am looking to book room only for a couple nights early January and hoping for a code.

Well FYI I talked with my AAA agent today and she told me that she got an email and a code IS coming next week. No specifics...I don't know anything more than that...

Keep checking here for something to come out next week. If you are using a travel agent they would already know as that is how I know that one is coming out for sure...she got an email. I dont know if she has any specifics because she didn't share anything more than that with me.
Free dining would mean that you'd eat for free Being a smart @ss aside it would mean that you'd pay rack rate for room and then get free dining as your discount.

You dream big I'd really love it if that were the offer...my dh's wallet would definitely appreciate 40% off at GF plus free dining...the hoppers would be good too

I'm hoping the disney visa will get a code before the GP codes and it will be worth my time getting the visa LOL!

Just out of curiousity...would a code help me out if we're renting points to stay at AKV?? We still have to buy tickets and we're planning on one night at Pop before our stay at AKV....
Just wondering if I should get excited about a possible code coming...or if it wouldn't help me anyway....

a code could only help on your one night stay at pop. You can't apply a code to a DVC room. I'd suggest looking at an online site to get a discount on your park tickets.

There were not room only codes for January last year, except for Disney Visa card holders and it was limited to booking at OKW and SSR. Below is the link to mousesavers, and the 2008 discounts that Disney has offered:

I hope for a room discount as well...I remember there being a pin code room only for January. The only package discount I'd think about for January would be Free Dining w/ a room discount. (Like they offered for Oct/Nov) Otherwise I'll take my room discount and just eat at CS.

sorry- there was- it was a small room discount plus free ticket upgrades for general public.

If you have a package, can you use still use a room discount at all? (and reduce the overall cost of the package?)

I guess instead I'll ask this- if you DON'T have a package, some codes may not apply, right? BUT, if you do have a package, do MOST codes apply since a package *can* mean rooms, tickets, AND dining?
