Jan 2009 Code Watch

Let me try this again. i have goen to ************** and made a banner but how do I get it to go over to here? Remember i said newbe here.....Sorry

I'm hoping for a discount for the end of January. We just need one night - Jan 29th. We fly into Orlando that day and don't start our week at our timeshare until Jan 30th. So, I thought it would be fun to stay at a WDW resort for one night. A couple of years ago they were advertising POP for $59 night during that time frame. I'm crossing my fingers that they might do that again!:thumbsup2

I know the code for the last three years (used it twice for President's Week) was an upgrade to Park Hoppers and Water Parks and More.
Anyone remember if they had MLK Weekend blocked out? President's Weekend wasn't, but that is also Peak Season.
MLK might be my only chance to go this winter. I'm looking at taking my niece (14) for her Christmas/B-Day gift.:goodvibes

MLK weekend was blacked out from AP codes this year. I know, because I was watching in 2008 because I plan to go in 2009 and was curious how I should plan. While Friday to Monday will be blacked out of a discount, the other days should/may have a discount. We arrived Saturday 1/17, so looking for a one night stay before moving to the BWV for a week. I'm planning on paying rack rate either at a value or moderate. I would love to be wrong, but not counting on since there was no discount this past January.

Hi! I'm just subscribing to watch for an AP rate for Jan. 15-20. I saw the PP said MLK weekend was blacked out last year. Which nights? We will be there from Thursday night until Tues. Did they black out Fri., Sat. and Sunday?

If they offer a discount .. say like last year with the free ticket upgrade... will I have to forgo my AAA discount in order to take the free ticket upgrade... or would they be able to get both... I know you can't stack discounts so I wasn't sure...

We are all booked for Carribean Beach Jan 25-31.... dining reservations made... got everything we wanted... O'Hanas, Le Cellier, California Grill, San Angel, and Boma....it will be myself, DH, DS (his 16th birthday is that week), ans DSfriend....

Ok- I am going 1/13-1/20. I can still use the code just not on MLK weekend? How does this work.

If they offer a discount and you apply it, the price will change only for the days it's eligible for. Last year the black out was Fri/Sat/Sun. I really hope I'm wrong because I would like to save a few dollars, but am ready to pay the full price for my night. However, even if the advertisement says there's a blackout, you should still call because recently on the AP website there were a few days blacked out, but I put in the dates and a discount still came up, so you never know.

As for packages, I don't have a clue, since I only book room only reservations (AP holder).

With as many trips as we have taken I should know this but we usually don't do a package... we usually do the room only or stay at SOG so it doesn't matter... I do have a friend who works at Disney and thinks there may be a code for our time... guess we will just have to wait and see.......:worship:

Not to go too far OT, but can you tell me the trick to logging in to the AP website? I put in the three-letter code, the three-digit code, and the date from the back of my AP, plus the two numbers kinda off to the side of the date. It won't log me in. I tried it without the 2 numbers and I tried it with the expiration date instead of the issue date, and I still can't get in... What am I doing wrong? :confused3

Thanks!!

Sounds like you are doing it correctly. Did you use the year as the year you got it, not the year it expires? use 08 not 09? I know some people seem to have trouble. I've never had a problem logging in (except when the site isn't working). You could try dumping your cookies and temp files or try another machine to see if it's the machine you're using. Also try not checking the box that says (remember my number). If nothing works, you'll have to call them. Good luck.

Just saw that Stormalong Bay will be closed during our January stay. Oh well, as long as that week isn't 'swimming weather' it won't make much difference.

Thanks a heap - I will try ALL these things! :goodvibes

It's only closing in sections, so you will still be able to swim in the other two areas while the one is closed. :thumbsup2

We'll be there January 24th - February 1st at the BC! Hoping for an AP rate, free dining or any discount that will help lower the cost! That way there is more money to spend while on vacation! :)
