Jan 2009 Code Watch

I wish the Disney Dining plan worked for me. We usually only have dinner each day and bring our own stuff for the rest of the day. We may have lunch too if we're really hungry. All the places we end up eating at are like two table service per person and we don't use the snack or quickservice. I wish there was a plan just with table service

There is a deluxe dining plan that gives you 3 table service meals a day you can use two of them for the signature restaurant and the other for a sit down breakfast, lunch or use it towards a quick service meal

The snacks can be a water, soda, rice krispy treat, etc

:goodvibes :goodvibes Anyone else so excited they can't sit still? I am...boy I hope its something everyone can use!

I am VERY excited. I see visions of the GF at $149 a night......OK I am dreaming BIG :)

I would just be happy with the $89 mod rate!

I am all happy with a side dish of sad!!! LOL
I wish I knew what they meant by the "first half of Jan"
I am in a bigger mess then before with my nerves! LOL

She didn't say first half of January - she said first half of 2009, which means June.

You can apply a code at any time (up until a few days before you arrive .. I think), but if you apply the code within 45 days of your ressie then there is a $50 fee.

I applied a code after the 45 day mark of my trip last week (I went Oct. 28-30), and I was not charged a $50 fee.

They do not charge this fee for room only ressies, just for packages.

Well has anyone heard of any "real" codes yet for Jan 09?
The last time I spoke to my TA she hadn't heard of any yet.

There have been two codes released. They are talked about quite a bit in this thread. They are for AP holders and FL residents.

Ok so I just got off the phone, and had a price quoted. They had me on hold for a very long time, as the CM was checking for the best deal for me. I told him this was a budget trip. Tell me what you think of this deal. 8 nights at Pop, including dining, and Hopper tickets for 8 days, for a total of $2521.00, says he saved me a total of $1000.00 What does everyone think!

I'm not quite seeing where he saved you $1000. By my calculations, that's what anyone would pay for those dates, at that resort and with those options. What kind of discount did he say he applied? Because when I punched it in, I got $2,684.08.

There is. I believe it's called the Deluxe Dining Plan.

And what do you think they mean by The first half? of 2009?? : (
I am not going until the 26th!!!!

I assume they meant the first half of the year, not the first half of January.

I need to go work out, but I am too excited to leave this board!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Plus, I want to earn my ears!!!!!

Just off the phone with a very nice CM who put me on hold to check any deals for about 3 minutes...came back "all I can say is that as of now nothing has been released but keep checking the websites. Disney is very good about getting the information out to the public and January is usually a very good time to travel to Disney. I mentioned to her about hearing there was some sort of meeting today about a new promotion. She asked who I spoke to and I said I didn't know ( really from this board...haha). That is when she put me on hold...have a feeling she was talking to a supervisor or something about it..Guess we just have to wait and see.

I'm glad it's tomorrow. Tomorrow is an early morning for me. I get up at 6:30am which means, no extra alarm for me. I can't wait to hear what it is. I've just got to make sure I get my credits counted right. 2 DxDP packages. one for 2008 one for 2009.

I'm reading it as the first part of 2009. I think we will be safe(I am going Jan 25th-31st) I don't know if I can take another day of this, again I am left with only one choice:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 until we get our code.

For those that are familiar with knowledge about the process of specials being released...is there a chance that we will know what the HUGE deal will be BEFORE we are able to book it? It would be great to do some homework for an hour or two and then book it without the fear of missing out on it.

Did that make any sense? I am goofy with anticipation fever. :rotfl:

Some TA's know the details about it before it is actually available but my TA told me last year that they aren't allowed by Disney to actually disclose it until the morning it is available to book

WHERE on the top of Mousesavers?? why am I not seeing it?

ETA- nevermind, I refreshed a few times and it finally showed up.

My TA e-mailed me, she says all she knows is what it says on the Mousesavers sight, and she would let me know as soon as she hears anything!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
