Jan 2008 Bounce Back?

We are taking a trip mid Jan. and feel lucky to get a discount AAA room rate for then. It seems now that values and mods are now sold out in Jan????
Was there a bounce back from last Jan. for this Jan? I thought it might be because of the Mickey Run going on but that is a week before we go so that can't be why it is so booked? Any thoughts??

I had no problem adding on 2 additional days at the AP rate to my January reservation and that was last week. Are you traveling during the busier times of the month? NYs, marathon week, or MLK weekend/week. If so, that would be why there is low availability. Could be a school sporting event too as they happen all of the time now.
