We're planning a trip for jan '05....after the marathon...anyone have any scope on crowds during the middle of the months...i think we will be there over the mlk holiday.....not sure if that's a big one....i was at epcot at that time 8 years ago & it was not crowded then....but of course, that was 8 YEARS ago...any advice would be helpful.

We're going in January 2005, too! It will be our first January trip, but January historically has the lowest attendance of the year, so it should be nice and quiet. The rates are low during this time too. I'd assume park hours will be shorter like during other slower times (we usually go just after Labor Day), but we've found that the shorter hours allow for us to explore the non-park aspects of WDW...plus with the short lines you'll probably see everything you want to see in a shorter day.

Enjoy!

we were there january 18-25 of 2003. only crowds were at MK as usual. everything else was nearly no waits. :)
universal was a ghost town, fantastic time to go there as well.

we are going again in jan, the 23-28th and are hoping for much of same.

the weather can be iffy though. in '03 it was 30 degrees one day! my ds had his snowsuit on! (although still warmer than the -1 it was when we left home LOL)

we've just moved to MA & figured FL would be warmer in january!!!

as i said before, i've gone once i january but only to epcot....at least this way with the earlier hours, we can check out the other hotels & dtd.

We will be stopping by Jan 2-4 after our New Years cruise on Mariner of the Seas. Cant wait and hope the crowds are gone by then!

We were there last Jan! The crowds were good except for MK. Still needed to do EE because the lines were bad in the afternoon. All the other parks were fine. The weather was cool! My kids went in the pool a few days but they were disappointed at how cold it was.

Best time of year to go, IMHO!! We usually leave the Saturday before MLK holiday, and I saw a BIG increase that day. You get so used to NO lines at all. I'm sure Tuesday on will be great. We will be there for the marathon and the week after this year. I hope we get some warmer weather, for some reason it always gets chilly the week we are there!

Have fun!!

I've done several trips in January. It's is our preferred month to go. Second choice is October. We will be there Jan. 12 - 19 2005. Taking DS7 and DD2.5 for their first WDW experience! Can't wait.

The crowds are usually light, weather is easily adjusted to. Perfect time to enjoy all of the parks.

We went MLK weekend about 4-5 years ago and crowds were very low. We age going again Jan. 22-30, 2005. I can't wait.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I love these guys!
