Jan 1st - 4th?

We have AP's that expire in early March and I really would like to get the family back to DLR before then. I noticed that our AP's aren't blocked out these days AND there are still DLR rooms available at the AP rate!
Are these days going to be crazy? We have done very busy before (week after Easter! )
What do you all think??

I don't know. I've been trying to poll this on all the DISers for the past couple of months because we're gonna be there from Saturday the 3rd through Tuesday the 6th. I'm thinking that it probably will be just because New Years day is so close to the weekend that people will just stay throughout the whole time. But who knows, the economy isn't doing too good, traveling is hard because of the weather, and people might have to go back home for work. I'm crossing my fingers for lighter crowds, but I'm preparing myself for hell. Thats why we're staying while the decorations are going down; because people won't be there and we can hit all the stuff we missed that is non-Christmas oriented on those days while we focus on the big stuff on Saturday and Sunday.

I say, if you really wanna see the decor before they take it down, GO FOR IT. The Christmas spirit is all around while its up and it would be a shame to miss !

We're going Jan 2-4 and plan on it being busy but hoping for a non-spring break crowd. We're actually fine with summer crowd madness. BTW-just a quick glance on the DL AP site, there is availability at all DL hotels for dates the OP is asking about.

We will be there the 3rd-8th. We are expecting crowds on the 3rd-5th and hoping they die off on the 6th-8th. We are driving down from Nor Cal too and hoping for a clear drive. We are leaving Saturday morning, probably around 9 or 10, hoping to check in around 4 or 5 so we can still spend some quality time in the parks Saturday night.
