For those of you on the FE gift exchange list: do you have any problems with our sign up being extended to today so that this family can join the exchange? I feel terrible having to exclude them but I also don't want to throw a curveball at folks on the list who may have already completed their FE gifts and don't have time to do another set.

I don't mind. I'm not even halfway done with my FE gifts yet anyway

* The FE coordinator on our May cruise was experiencing the same issue. So, she put out a post that stated anyone could join up until 21 days prior to sail -- HOWEVER, those who signed up by the cut off would be guaranteed gifts from ALL participants. While those who signed up later, would be limited to those who had time and/or extra gifts to share!
I thought that was a pretty good idea. Because some ppl personalized and went all out on their gifts making it nearly impossible to add ppl that late in the game! While others gave less customized gifts and it was fairly easy to just add a few more to the mix.
That solution at least allowed newbies and first timers to not miss out on the magic of the FE program b/c they found the thread too late. And it remained fair to those who signed up "on time" b/c they simply didn't have to give gifts to those particular cabins. AND the FE coordinator had a special section at the bottom of the "official" list that said something like "Extra Pixie Dust to Share??" and then listed their names/cabins. That way, we all knew those were the "optional" cabins.
I was SO pleasantly surprised by the amount of ppl that gave at least SOMETHING to those cabins. And those ppl were so appreciative of just being included, that they didn't care that they didn't receive as many gifts.

Just a LONG winded thought! LOL I'll get off my soapbox now.

Sounds like a great idea to me! If no one has any objections, today will be the cutoff for the "regular" list and then starting tomorrow anyone who wants to join can be put in the "pixie dust" category.

Sounds good to me! I'm not finished my gifts either so it won't change anything for us. For the newest additions: if you would like to submit the names of your family members for our FE stateroom map you can PM me or post them here and I will add your stateroom to the map!
