Our son's birthday is actual Jan 13th the day of the cruise and we will be celebrating his 9th birthday. The entire trip is a secret! I love surprises! The closer we get the increasingly more difficult it becomes as we are making arrangements and can't talk about it in front of him.
So exciting!!!! This is our first Disney Cruise and first cruise actually ever.
We are in stateroom 6510 2 adults, 1 kid - 9(boy)

Keeping this secret is a blessing and a curse. I want to include my son in the conversations that we have and get him excited about the trip like we are. My son's BDay is Jan 16th. I plan on hitting him with 2 surprises. 1. When he wakes up on the 12th, we're going to tell him "Suprise! We're going on a Royal Carribean cruise." 2. When we arrive at the port on the 13th, he'll find out that we're actually be going on a Disney cruise. I have the Royal Carribean paperwork and everything to show him.

Hi FRIDAY2010!

The FE is a fish extender, it's a hook outside the door that looks like a fish and you are able to hang something from it. Many people create fishextenders that are used as "mailboxes." The FE group is a group of people that have signed up to exchange small gifts with each other.

I'd also like to invite you to join our Facebook group if you are a facebook member. I believe it is called Disney Dream Cruise Jan. 13th. I'm at work right now and can't check fb for the exact name.

We are on this sailing also. We always go to WDW for Marathon Weekend. This year hubby better run fast - we have to get to the port! DH is doing Goofy - he is one of the few "Perfectly Goofy" people. I am doing the Half this year.

I have a 9 year old son - he is going to find out about the trip on Christmas when he opens up a DCL autograph book.

Due to the races, my parents are flying down with our son on Saturday to meet us at WDW. We are all going on the cruise.

Wow. Very nice!! DH and I are also running that weekend but we will be doing the 5K and the Half. It's our first WDW Marathon wknd!! Good luck to you guys. Maybe we'll see each other!!!

Has anyone ever done one of the sports simulators?

They look really cool as you get to play sports against a big screen. Things like kicking real soccer balls at the screen with Goofy playing goalie.
When I've looked in the past they have always been listed as sold out, but I was logged in today to update my kid's passports and there was plenty of availablity. I decided to sign my kids up for a slot.

We got about an inch or so of snow yesterday. Very pretty, but now I'm done with it and ready to cruise.

NOTE TO EVERYONE ELSE: to be fair to the rest of the folks who joined the FE group before the announced Dec. 1 cutoff date and who may have already completed their FE gifts based on the list as of Dec. 1, we will not be accepting any more FE gift exchange participants for our cruise. This is a busy time of year for many and I don't want to make extra work for those of you with schedules already overflowing. The gift exchange is meant to be fun, after all!

Your daughters are close in age to my oldest, and our families' staterooms aren't very far apart. Maybe they will get to have some adventures together on the cruise! Do you think your girls will spend any time in the Oceaneer's Club/Lab?

For those of you on the FE gift exchange list: do you have any problems with our sign up being extended to today so that this family can join the exchange? I feel terrible having to exclude them but I also don't want to throw a curveball at folks on the list who may have already completed their FE gifts and don't have time to do another set.
