Jan 13, 2013 on the Dream!

I think Dec 1 is a good cut off...its only 2 weeks less and like you said...with it being so close to Christmas, I think it'll be fine :)

Unless anyone participating in the FE gift exchange has any strong objections, Dec. 1 will be the deadline to join our cruise's FE list.

Have a great weekend everyone! Closing in on two months to go until our cruise! :cool1:

Dec 1st sounds good to me also! ;)
I'm getting so excited! It'll be here before we know it!!!! ;)

Hi all- Is it just me or does this cruise seem kinda empty- I'm okay with the boat to myself it just seems odd compared to our last cruise last February. We have 9 total in our group:

Me and my DH and two kids (DS-7 and DD-2.5) in one room
My mom- my sis (19) and my other DS- 5 in another room
My brother (23) and his girlfriend (21) in another room

All on deck 5 but can't recall our staterooms right now- I know lack of dedication. I did see some young adults listed as cruising so hopefully my brother and especially my sister can meet up with someone as they are nervous there will be nothing to do. We went last year with my mom and some other friends and it was GREAT but I did not frequent the young adult seen. Although have read that they have a meet up for that age group so hopefully they do that on this cruise as well.

We probably won't do the FE this time as things are hectic right now but I will let the board know if I change my mind before Dec 1- plus the list doesn't seem that long so maybe it wouldn't be too hard! :)

Just counting down the days and hoping for nice weather!- being from Ohio that just means no snow and preferrable no rain!

It does seem kind of empty. There are cabins left in every category. I am waiting to see if they discount this cruise as it gets closer (my sister would like to come too)

harmon54 - we are traveling with a group of young adults
My son (24) and his girlfriend (24)
My niece (20) and her boyfriend (20)
My nephew (24) and niece (19)
They are a fun group so maybe your sister & brother can meet up with them on board :grouphug:

What happens if they do discount the rooms? Do those of us who paid more get onboard credits or do we just suck it up and be glad we are going?

Thats interesting...now Im on a mission! lol! Do you just check the prices every week? I would imagine you would have to call your TA or PCC @ Disney? :confused3

The cruise is already discounted. They are offering VGT rates- but these will only be good for new bookings at this point. :( But maybe can upgrade at the port if you wanted to try for a better room.

Hi folks! I am booking this cruise in the morning. We were originally booked on a 4 day cruise on the Magic in Feb. That cruise was $1224 for 3 of us, so I had to book it. It was too cheap to pass up. Well, imagine my surprise when I did a random search and saw this cruise going for less than $1400 (IGT) :scared1: I couldn't believe it! The original cruise was going to be a surprise for my DS13, but this one will be an even bigger surprise because 1. It's on the Dream. And 2. He will be on the ship on his Birthday....Jan. 16. :wizard: And the best thing of all is that we only have to wait less than 2 months. Thanksgiving and Christmas will help the time go by fast. With that said, I feel a little guilty that I stumbled across this cruise and got a great price while some of you have been waiting for more than a year. Either way, I know we will all have a great time.

Glad you will be joining us. That's a great deal for a 4-day cruise, no doubt about it. I noticed they have VGT rates now too. What a great birthday present!

If you're willing to do more of a last-minute cruise, it seems like sailing dates with IGT and VGT rates beat the 10% onboard booking discount.

Under the 50 day mark for hubby and I.
We arrive January 9 at AoA for the 20th Anniversary Marathon wknd!!!! ;)

My boys just helped me finish the first set of FE gifts tonight!!! ;). Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

Thank goodness for these boards. I finished my 1st no-sew FE with the directions I got from the DisBoards and it looks pretty good! 2 more to go for my family.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Hi!
I just moved my fantasy cruise to this one-- the rates were too good to pass up! This will be our first Disney cruise. My husband and I have sailed Carnival a couple of times but this will be our first sailing with a child. Our daughter is 2.5. We are looking forward to a nice relaxing cruise. We don't even know if we will do an excursion in Nassau.

My mom called DCL trying to add my two neices to her room (she's currently booked alone) and they told her the boat was full and no one could be added. Wonder why when there are still rooms available!?

You should ask to speak to a manager, how is the boat full? Didn't they expect that your mom's room could potentially hold up to 3 people!?!

Welcome aboard to the DISers who have recently mentioned sailing with us in January!

Below is the latest FE exchange list. The only update to the list is that my family received our stateroom number over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Note that Dec. 1 is the last day to join the exchange for this cruise. Hard to believe Dec. 1 is only 5 days away!

Our son's birthday is actual Jan 13th the day of the cruise and we will be celebrating his 9th birthday. The entire trip is a secret! I love surprises! The closer we get the increasingly more difficult it becomes as we are making arrangements and can't talk about it in front of him.
So exciting!!!! This is our first Disney Cruise and first cruise actually ever.
We are in stateroom 6510 2 adults, 1 kid - 9(boy)

That should be quite a surprise for your son! Good luck keeping the secret. :)
