how is the weather in orlando in january, looking to book trip but uncertain if it will be cold, i am from the northeast thanks

Compared to the Northeast it will be quite balmy in Orlando! ;)

I have been in Feb. I didn't feel it was warm enough to swim and the lifeguards were in jackets and long pants, but there were plenty of people that felt it was warm enough and swam everyday! We would wear long pants and short sleeves and had sweatshirts and jackets in the mornings, would be warm for a few hours in the afternoon, and then when the sun went down the jackets would be back on.

Personally I found it quite nice. I don't like the heat! I did avoid getting wet though-- so no Kali River Rapids or Splash Mountain, 2 of my favorites. But my family friends went on them without hesitation. Just my personal preference not to be soaking wet unless it is hot out.

If you check out weather.com you can get an idea of the average temps and that should help you out.

Jan. can be a mixed bag of weather. The nice thing is, very little rain....

Expect cool days ( not higher than mid-60's on average ) and cooler nights ( low 50's )
