Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

That is great news about the free dining! :thumbsup2

Bummer about the drive, but the good thing is that your boss is working with you to make the afternoon commute a little easier and that it is only temporary!

I hope you get into the groove in your new job quickly! :cheer2:

Hi Jamie!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Life has been super busy.

Congratulations on your new job! It sounds like a great opportunity for you! I recently started a new job as a Disney Travel Agent. It's been a lot of fun! :yay:

We are hoping to take advantage of the free dining too. We are booked and all set to go. We're just waiting to see what happens with DH's job situation.

I'm glad to hear that your sister is doing well. That is good news! :goodvibes

I hope to be able to stop by more often. I miss my WISH buddies! :grouphug:

Take care, Jamie!:goodvibes

Good Morning,

Whew a few minutes to myself... That is a good thing. I have really been learning tons here at my new job....I really think I am going to like it. They do things different here, as at any new job so it will take some time for me to get my feet in the water and really know what I am doing! They seem to be so much more organized than my last job! I know that sounds mean, but it is the truth. They really seem to have all their people on the same page. My old supervisor called me yesterday and the first words out of her mouth, do you hate it? I know you do, you need to come back. Ugh....I made her leave a message, just didn't want to talk to her. I didn't even want to call her back, but I did. It was a good thing that she didn't ask me for help, she just wanted a password....I would have told her that my fee was 150 an hour is she needed help! I don't work there any more....

Anyway, on to other things....eating has been good. I though my co-workers at my last job liked to eat....these people here love to eat! I started Friday and each morning there are donuts in the kitchen....Good ones too except for today. I am not a fan of Krispie Cremes and that is what they have today. but that is okay...I have stayed away from them! Plus today and tomorrow they are ordering lunch in for everyone...it just blows me away. They really like to eat! Good news is that I sit too far from the kitchen so it is good that I can't smell anything!!!!

Water has been good, I have made my goal each and every day! I don't know what is going on but i have been really thirsty....I just can't seem to get enough in me. I think maybe it is because of the weather....it is starting to get nice and that may be what is going on. Not sure though.

Well i have to get to work, thanks everyone for stopping by, I am going to try and get to journals this afternoon. if not, i will get to them....just not too sure when!

Take care and happy hump day!

I'm glad you like your new job! Sounds like you have a good plan for avoiding all the goodies...

Great job on the water intake! Your body must be used to that much water now, which is why you crave it so much. Way to go! :cheer2:

Good Morning,

WOOHOOO.....our DU TA was able to get us the hotel that we wanted POR and the free dining for our trip in Aug!!!!! I am so excited. I just need to make sure that everyone in my party is just as excited!!!! I think I am driving my DH crazy.....Oh well..

Yesterday was a good day....work ordered BBQ for lunch and with that they had cookies....oh my goodness, I wanted one of those so bad....I kept walking by thinking, one won't kill me....it really won't hurt anything. I almost grabbed one and then I backed off....went to the kitchen and sliced my apple!!! It so was not as good as a cookie would have been.....but that is okay. It was so much better than a cookie!!!! We finally got all the pizza out of the house!!!! DH wanted pizza on Monday, so we ordered it, but he wanted to have enough to last us a few days, so instead of one, we got two!!! We really need to stop that.

Wednesday:
B @5:00 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 cup yogurt
L @11:30 turkey and cheese sandwich and 1/2 serving gold fish
S @ 2:30 1 medium apple (no cookies :( )
D @ 5:15 2 slices of cheese pizza
Water was good....really good!!

I have been really bad and not working out. I was still having an issue with getting up and by the time I got home from work I just didn't want to do anything. So I have been very bad about that. It will get better, I did manage to get up today and get my work out in. That is the good news for today so far!!!

Well I am going to get my day started. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great Thursday!

Great job resisting that cookie! :cool1: :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

I bet once you get into the routine of your new job you will be able to get back into working out more. Congrats on getting up and getting your workout in this morning! You are on your way! :cheer2:

Congratulations Jamie on resisting the cookie and getting your workout in! Those are definitely victories to be celebrated! :yay:

I bet working out will become easier once you get a routine down with your new job.

That's great that you're going to WDW with free dining! We're going too, but in September. I can't wait! For the past 3 years, we've gone in December and I love it, but it will be fun to go when the crowds are manageable, the weather is hot, and we can swim! Woohoo!

Have a great weekend!

Hello,

Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was so nice here that we were able to get out on the motorcycles and get in some good riding. We went to Home Depot and Lowes, DH needed a few things and I of course needed to look at the garden stuff :) I did some yard work this weekend also. Some of my flowers from last year are starting to bloom so I wanted to get all the dead off them so they could grow! And I pulled some weeds.....weeds already. Too hard to believe!

We had a new Walmart open up a while ago and since I love Walmart we had to go see it! It is a different kind of Walmart, it is completely environmental. They have windmills out all over the place and when you walk inside, they have no lights. Not kidding. I commented to DH that there were no lights, they had windows every where. That was their source of light. I don't know what they do in the evening when it gets dark as this Walmart is a 24 hour one. We were going to try and go back when it got dark and never made it. Just a very different experience to me! I loved it though. I was able to find some things there that my Walmart didn't have. So that was nice!

Had dinner this weekend with the inlaws....that was okay. I tell you my DMIL can really drive a person crazy! She talks non stop...and tells us things that we have already been told....she is the nicest person that you would meet, but man!!!!! It was nice though, the puppies were able to see Grandma and Grandpa...that is just great for them. They love them soo much!!!!

Not much else going on....Eating has been good, and well as water. I am hoping that things will get better and I can start to get here everyday again...I know that it will....it will just take some time.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Jamie, sounds like you had a good weekend. Its great that you are staying on track in spite of starting a new job. And it was nice around here this weekend wasn't it? We actually worked in the yard and fired up the grill! Hope you have a great week!

Hope you're having a good Monday! And that the week goes well!

That Walmart sounds really odd, but interesting.

Enjoy the spring cycle weather. DS16 is having a hard time getting anything done as he wants to ride his new bike all the time!

What a fun weekend (well, except for the Walmart part, you know my thoughts on that! ). I'm glad you got to get outside and enjoy the nice weather!

I hope you get comfy in your new job soon. They will move closer before you know it, then you'll have to get a whole new routine again!

Hello,

Wow yesterday was a day...that is all I can say!!! I didn't do anything too out of control but it was not too good either! By the time I got home, I was starving...not really sure why. I had my snack and I was fine at work. So I stood in the pantry thinking of all the things that I could have had. Then I decided that I was going to have a few goldfish, Less than 1/2 serving, then I had a slice of ff cheese, then I had 1 GS cookie....not the worst, but then again not great! DH called me at 6:15 and told me that we may go out for drinks with a guy he works with. Well that would have made for a really late night. IT takes DH 45 minutes to get home, then it would have taken us at least 30 minutes to get to the restaurant, with no dinner in my tummy! So that would have put us there at about 8:00. Hello...my bedtime is like 8:30!!!! Thank goodness this guy backed out. We didn't have to leave!

Tonight I have a HOA meeting. I am so not looking forward to this. I don't usually go because us as homeowners don't ever get to say anything. We are told that we need to be quite and listen. Well not this time! A neighbor was telling us that the HOA is trying to sue the builder and if they succeed, each homeowner will have to pay $500 - $1,000 each to cover the lawyer fees. Also if they win, that means that we won't be able to claim certain things through our insurance. There is some other stuff, but this is what really ticks me off. I am happy with my house and have no desire to sue. So we will see what happens. I know that the majority of the homeowners want this HOA out so that is what we are trying to do. So we will see how that goes tonight. DH is at a hockey game with some people from his work, so I am doing dinner alone and this meeting alone!

Monday:
B @ 5:00 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:15 1 Nature Valley granola bar
L @ 11:30 HC turkey and mashed potatoes with 1 meduim apple
S @ 2:30 1 Nature Valley granola bar
S @ 4:30 less than 1/2 serving of goldfish, 1 slice of ff cheese and 1 GS cookie
D @ 7:30 2 corn tacos with ff cheese
Water was great.....I have decided that I don't really like the water here at work...it is not all that wonderful. So I have to figure something out. I always bring at least 32 oz with me....I think I may have to start bringing 64oz....I have not been real fond of the water here, but yesterday is just didn't taste all that great!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

That is pretty sneaky of the HOA! Hopefully there is some way you can get yourself out of the "class" (sounds like they are trying a class action suit or something). How frustrating! One of the reasons we moved into DH's house was because there is no HOA. That is very rare here in AZ!

Your eating wasn't that bad! I'm glad you didn't have to go out last night, especially with that long commute you have in the morning.

Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Hi, Jamie! Wow, you are doing so great! I am so happy to hear that you are loving your new job. Good job on avoiding all the junk food they have around. I am in the same kind of dilemma, so I can understand how hard it is. The water cooler is in the kitchen so I always have to walk past whatever food is out for public consumption when I get my water refills. You may want to consider buying a gallon or two of the kind of water you like and keep it in your office or under your desk. It won't be cold, though.

That Wal-Mart sounds really interesting. I want to hear what happens at night, when you find out.

I hope you aren't bound to go along with whatever your HOA is planning. Good luck on that.

Have a great day! :goodvibes:

Hi Jamie,

I hope that thing with the HOA works out for you. :goodvibes Is there a way that you can opt out of the lawsuit? I would think something like that would have to be voluntary.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Easter!! :sunny:

Wow....things have been completly crazy here....still trying to get into the grove of my new job. It is pretty similar to what I was doing before, but this time I have put up with another supervisor who should not have been promoted treating me like crap. She is keeping things from me so I can't do them, when I ask for help, she ignores me or treats me poorly......That will get better though!!

I never made it to the HOA meeting last Tuesday...I was a little bummed. The reason I didn't make it was because Dh called and told me that I was going to the hockey game with him...I was very surprised. At first the employees were told that they could not take spouses, but then at the last minute they changed their minds I guess. I have only been to one other hockey game, Avs played the Canucks that time, and it was fun. This time the Avs played Phoenix and we won...6-4. We were in a suite that was catered, all the food, beer, soda, water that we wanted. I stuck to some fruit and water the whole night. DH had soda, beer, chips, tortillas....it was fun though. I am glad that I got to go....not only for my but for my DH as well. He does not drink and drive so it was nice that I was there and could drive him home....if not he would have just had soda!

Food has been pretty good....I did really well on Easter. We went to the inlaws and she made turkey!!! YUM LOL. I had some turkey, she made corn (my favorite) and green beans. I know that corn is really not that good for you, so I skipped the corn and had some green beans! I had a little bit of mashed potatoes and 1 dinner rolll. All in all I think I did well. Drank water the whole time. We did go to the mountains Sunday and we stopped at Taco Bell...I had one bean burrito...not the best, but it was just one! The weather this weekend, well Sunday was perfect for a motorcycle ride so that is what we did.

The weather is really getting nice, with today as an exception! I am really excited about this, but at the same time, I dread the warm weather. When it is nice like this we spend a lot of time on the bikes and not enough time with the furbabies! I hate that. Baxter walks us to the door and just stands there....it almost makes me cry! He does that in the mornings as well when I leave for work, but daddy is still there...so it is not so heart breaking. But when we leave on the bikes for a day out, it's tough!

Well I better get going...I will check in again tomorrow....I know tomorrow is going to be rather slow!

Take care and thanks to all that have visited!!!

You did great at the hockey game! When I am in an "everything is free" situation, I usually just blow it with my eating/drinking... :sad2:

That is so funny that your dog's name is Baxter! I told DS that if we get another beagle, I want to name him Baxter (to go with Buckley). I just think that is the cutest name! :thumbsup2

What is wrong with corn? Is it just because it is more carb than veggie?

I hope you get settled into your job soon. Wow, you went from one bad boss to another - what awful luck! :confused3

Hi Jamie,

It sounds like you did great on Easter! I don't think corn is too bad is it? It does have a lot of fiber. I think its just that you have to count it more as a carb than a veggie (sort of like a potato maybe?). What kind of dog do you have? The weather has been nice except today. It seemed much colder than it really was since it has been so unseasonably warm lately. I hope the HOA thing works out, they can be such a pain! Keep up the good work!

Amy

Hi Jamie,

You are doing a great job with your food! :thumbsup2 Keep up the good work! :Pinkbounc

I'm sorry to hear about the situation at work. I hope that it gets better for you soon. :goodvibes

Have a great Wednesday! :sunny:
