hello everyon! I am new to this thread, I am normally on the weddings/honeymoons board or the GF thread. just honeymooned at the GF, it was amazing! it was DH's first time and he got sick, so we want to go bak for a "redo" but the GF is out of the quesiton....well, anything was out of the quesiton until the 40% off code! i just got it applied today, and we will be staying pool view AKL dec 15-22 and are so excited about it! also, i booked a trip for my parents to the AKL savannah view for their 30th anniversary this april 29th thru may 4th. just thought I'd say hi and you will be seeing me around here more now!

Your parents will enjoy the savanah view. I had this view last summer and it was great.

Yes, born and bred Sox fan here! I'm in Marlboro MA. And the 40% off thingy is a discount off room rack rates that is either:

- a valid discount code that WDW is offering
- a postcard/pin code thingy that some people have gotten in the mail
- a postcard/pin code thingy that some people have gotten CM's to give them "illegally" even though they didn't have a postcard or a pin

You can read all about it on the Codes board - but be warned - it's scary over there! DISers dissin' each other left and right. I got the discount when I called and asked for a AKL quote (I was originally booked for ASMo) and asked if there were any discounts available for my dates. CM said yes and gave me a great rate for AKL pool view. Nothing said about postcards or pins, in fact I knew nothing about "the controversy" until it all exploded on the Codes and Rates boards! Anyway, thanks to the 40% off I'm staying at AKL - yippee!

whats up with AKL...I have been trying to get a AP rate right before the spring breaks start and they have no availabilty except for the Savannah view rooms? Yet, AAA and Expedia have rooms but are much higher priced than a AP rate. I have finally decided to book a room at CSR with hopes of changing it to a standard view room at AKL. I would love to stay in the SV room but that is just not in our budget this time. Here's hoping to some rooms becoming available!

I've noticed the same. If I were to hazard a guess, it's due to the WL pool's refurbishment extension. WL's pool was to reopen at the beginning of next month, but now they're saying it likely won't reopen until late March/early April. I know a lot of people (myself included) have switched their reservations to stay elsewhere. As the AKL is at about the same budget point as the WL, it's a natural alternative.

I am a Sox fan and a Pats fan. I was born in Framingham but grew up in RI and now relocated to MD due to the Air Force but I am heading back to RI in April...every summer that I lived in MD I went to a Sox vs O's game sporting my Sox gear!!!
