You can always just walk up to the podium and try to get it, it is pretty bustling and busy there though, so you might have a bit of a wait or you could get lucky and have no problem at all. :goodvibes

I have eaten at PTC since and I even have an ADR for this trip coming up, go and enjoy ~ but I just can't recommend the Chicken Puke Pie :sad2:

I'll make a note of that! Thanks for the tip.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but this seemed like the place to ask. Do you need ADR's for breakfast at Boma if you are staying at AKL? :confused3 My DF and I are going in July- which I know is going to be busy anyway- and will definitely be making ADR'S for dinner there but were hoping to be able to spontaneously decide to have breakfast there during our stay. Just wanted to know if this was even possible. Thanks!

Yeppers to the ADR making! :thumbsup2 You will LOVE breakfast at Boma - yum-yum! You can call the day before from your room or just go down to the Boma and make ADR right then and there - BUT - you may not get the time you want to eat at - so if you want to be spontaneous - you have to be flexible as well

Okay, no Christmas tree, nor any decorations as of Monday afternoon. Although the parks are starting. Usually, right after the Wine and Food Festival ends, the "elves"start their magic. AK has the tree up, and the Christmas Jammin' Jungle Parade was cool (started Monday), as usual.

as I was suffering from food poisoning from PrimeTimeCafe (I ate the chicken puke pie - 3 days earlier) and I was STILL suffering.

Boma is great, Jiko too. :goodvibes

Cass-is there a recipe for that chicken puke pie... ;) I'm not mocking your suffering, in fact I'm quite sorry. :sad2:(I got food poisoning in London-awful :sad1: .. but that's a pretty funny title-bet you won't see that description on any Disney Menu... :lmao:

disneytraveler-I can't wait to eat at both of them... Only 28 days from today...4 weeks...I remember when it seemed so far away...and now

I think Stitch must have been the chef that day at PrimeTime. :sad2:

PPPatricia ~ did you hear back from the DIS Shopkeeper?

Hey are you sure it's 28 days? I get 27 days, 20 hours, 30 minutes before Dec 14 :rotfl:

and I leave one day ahead of you!

...staying there does NOT guarantee that you will get ressies - I'd call ahead to be sure. However, that being said, it's less likely that there won't be any 'openings' for breakfast, as oppsed to dinner - it gets much more crowded for dinner......another suggestion is to get to the podium as early as possible in the AM.....Good Luck!

You know what I really like at Boma for dinner? that avacodo/grapefruit/papaya salad or whatever it is, it is awesome.

I never tried Boma for dinner. I went there for breakfast. After eating dinner at Jiko , i was sold on going to Jiko. :goodvibes

Boma - Flavors of Africa is one of the more unique dining experiences found in Walt Disney World, where the spirit of Africa comes alive.

It is an open and natural space surrounded by a kraal-style fence made of sticks. This Boma provides a safe and sheltered area in the bush. In the evening, its golden light pours out as the fire used for cooking lights the dinner table. The focus is on fresh ingredients with an extensive selection of items influenced by the cuisine of over 50 African countries. The wood-burning grill and rotisserie add to the tantalizing aroma.

You'll dine under thatched roofs while viewing the talented chefs in the open kitchen. Spacious and lively, Boma has become one of the more popular resort dining venues.

I *LOVE* Boma!!! There are so many food pods there, even taking tiny samples of things, I'm full before I get to all the pods!!! OK, so maybe I need to cut down on my multiple trips to the dessert pod - oh, how I love those zebra domes!!! :cloud9:
