Jambo Std View Studio layout Q

I've seen photos (on Disney's website) and videos online that show the bed next to the balcony doors instead of the sofa. Is this a still an available layout? I'd honestly prefer this layout and I wonder if I am able to request it. Has anyone seen this layout recently? It seems most of the picture and room layout maps show the sofa next to the balcony instead.

I think the pictures you are seeing are of the value studios at Jambo House. I think (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) that those are the only studios at AKV that have the bed next to the balcony doors. All other studios have the couch there.

I'm pretty sure you're correct! The value studios have the bed by the balcony.

There may be some non-Value studios with that layout. When they converted the Jambo House hotel rooms into DVC rooms, some of the 2BR lockoffs that were created had to be built with the connecting door in the living area rather than the entryway. With the normal furniture layout, the door would have been directly across from the bed. I think those rooms may have the sofa across from the connecting door and the bed next to the sliding doors out to the balcony, to allow more room around the connecting door. I can't say for certain but I recall someone reporting this alternate furniture placement in a non-Value studio and it was a room with the connecting door in the living area. Whether it was a special case or there are a few like that, I don't know.
