Hi everyone -

What are the best 2 bedroom Sv villa room numbers for Animal viewing and that are not located to far from the buses.

We have been DVC members for 18 years but first visit to AK Kidani !

Thanks in advance 🦒

There is a woman named Shannon Ford who does very thorough you tube videos on the best rooms to ask for at several Disney hotels. I am going to be at AKL and she says in that video that she hasn’t stayed there but still does a very thorough video!

We love room 7682, its a dedicated two bedroom savanna view. It’s the best for viewing the animals and we request it every time. However it’s on the very end of the building in the pumba section, far from the buses. It’s a 6 minute walk to the lobby (we timed it). That said it’s in an amazing location on the savanna because it has the red river hog area and a view of backstage pen area where all the animals go for food and to stay the night so in the early morning you see them all coming out in herds and in the evening you see them all coming back. We don’t mind the walk to the lobby and parking under the building gets you right in front of to the room if you park close to and walk up the last set of stairs on the circle turn about.

For a savana view room at Kidani that provides good view and puts you close to bus station, just request a room near the Timon elevator, and also lower floor if you want more direct view of animals.. The Timon elevator to second floor puts you close to the door that leads quickly to the bus station, and all savanna view rooms in that area have good views of animals.

Thank you for this information. I have a one bedroom in November. I dont care about the walk to anywhere. My number one priority is view. Do I still ask for room by Timon elevator second floor.

Thanks.

With a caveat to be aware of, that area, like most at Kidani on Sunset Safari has good animal views. There is actually an animal feeding area not far from the rooms in the Timon area. The caveat is that, at least in the past (I have not been to Kidani for two years now because of Covid), the animals were often removed from the Sunset safari between about 7:30 or 8 a.m. and about 10 or 11 a.m. for daily servicing back at the main holding places. you can actually find posts where members complained that there were no animals on Sunset when they were at Kidani, but the posts usually indicate that the time of day they were looking for animals was during the time they were usually absent.

Thank you. This is excellent information to have. Is there anyother are I should also consider?

We have been owners for 12 years and go 1-2 times a year, but never AK and never did any research.

Thanks!
