JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

Can you believe for the first time since 2006 we won't be going in August...or any month next year Jasmine is going to University in September so there will be no extra money for a trip If we were going, those would be our exact dates...that really bums me out because we could have met up

...sorry you will be skipping Disney next year.

But it's very exciting that Jasmine is starting University...that is way more important!
You are an awesome Mom for helping her pay for school.

I will miss meeting you though! I'm sure there will be a next time.

Your Epcot morning looks fun. We've never ridden Mission Space or Ellen's Energy. Maybe next trip.

Wait a minute? You're hoping that BelleTinkMom get to ride Jeff & Jasmine? What kind of an attraction is that? What's the theme for the attraction? Seems that the ride will have a rather small throughput of riders..... even worse than Dumbo considering only 2 people at a time can ride the attraction. Or maybe Jeff can take more than one person on his back at a time???

I completely forgot about these and now I miss them too! Thank you so much for searching these up and posting them....I loved that futuristic city and I can't believe I didn't realize it was gone Clearly, not paying attention

Great morning at Epcot!

When I got to the picture of Jeff & Jasmine at the fountain I thought, 'Aw what a lovely picture, they make such a sweet couple'. Then I read your comments and had to laugh that they were actually bickering about how to make a wish

Those low crowds almost convince me that the heat and humidity of late August are worth it Don't think I could convince Jean though - she thought May was to hot

Catching up after our trip!


Your day at TL sounds so nice!! I must confess, I have a fear of the water parks!!! My kids are dying to go and I have this fear that something terrible will happen to one of them! I know it’s stupid! I keep telling them, “when you’re a little older.” I think I may have a subconscious subtext that says “yeah, like when you’re 18 and I don’t have a say ”

I LOVE your Pina Colada story!!! You go girl!!!

Your meal at Boma looks yummy and it’s fabulous that you could share it with dis-friends!!! I love dis friends so much!!!!

Continuing my catch-up...

YAY! Typhoon Lagoon! I've always wanted to go there. The Surfing lessons sound like tons of fun. I forgot they even did that there. Crush n' Gusher looks like tons of fun too. Hopefully I can get my parents to pay the extra fee so we can go to the water parks, because what is better than a Disney water park? Haha @ your little "drunk" moment I can only imagine how funny it is for you guys thinking back on it

Mmmmmm... Boma looks really good and that's great you got to share it with some DISers. I hope someday I'll host a DISMeet They sound like so much fun Now, back to the food () The Steak and the cake looks delicious! So great you guys got a special cake for MM and one that looks SOOO GOOD!

It was a pretty funny "moment" that latest over an hour Won't be doing that again anytime soon!

That cake was so delicious...prob one of the best we've had! MM was quite happy to celebrate her birthday with our friends

After this, completely caught up, WOOT! WOOT!...

YAY EPCOT! The perfect park to pick for another full park day. Haha @ the whole wishes fight. They are a very stubborn couple right there Big to Spaceship Earth, such an awesome ride, though I wish I had been there to ride when Jeremy Irons still narrated. Scar is the man!

Oh wow, I gotta give big props to SW and Jeff for riding the Orange side. I will someday conquer it, but for now the Green side. It seemed like you all enjoyed it, so it isn't just a boring simulator

Oh wow, you can only actually SLEEP through that awesomeness. I couldn't miss a thing, the mixture of Bill Nye, Ellen DeGeneres and Disney... it's a mix made in heaven (little play on words). Too bad it was closed the last time I went there to go see Universe of Energy and it sounded like all of you enjoyed it, so that will be a total must-do for me next time I'm in the world

I'm guessing you're going to... MEXICO! Of course!

Typhoon Lagoon looks like so much fun! I went there when I was a kid and haven't been back since. Maybe it's about time.

Too bad the other people were pushy at the Wishes Dessert Party. I had considered booking it, but Jeremy said he thought there would always be long lines for desserts and we'd spend half the night waiting in line and the other half sitting at the table, alone with two toddlers, wishing the other person would hurry up at the buffet.

I really like Mission Space Orange. I guess I'm just used to it, since that's the original ride. The one time we rode Mission Space Green seemed very non-spinny by comparison.

TL was a great way to spend the day!

Jeremy's thoughts on the dessert party would be right on I can just picture that in my mind...you guys are too cute!

In 2004 we rode M:S for the first time ever when you didn't have a choice of orange or green....I am a wimp now and it's green all the way for moi!

...sorry you will be skipping Disney next year.

I am kicking myself that I didn't upgrade to annual passes because I have enough Visa points for one flight and enough airmiles for one park pass, but if I didn't need park passes I would have enough for a flight Oh well, can't change it now.

She is very excited about starting and is strongly considering law school All I see is dollar signs Ya gotta love an RESP (being Canadian I know you get this) who doesn't love free grant money from the government!

One of these years for sure we will meet!!!

It's funny how deceiving a picture can be isn't it

I do love the low crowds and when it gets too hot, we head to the pool, but having said that, we don't get as much accomplished in the parks When we got home, I realized how many things we didn't get to on this trip, but we had a blast all the same!

I think you're right, Jean would not like the August heat!

When Jasmine was younger, water parks and swimming pools made me crazy controlling mother! Every summer was spent in swimming lessons so that made me a little "not so crazy" but not completely!

I have to tell you, I haven't had a pina colada sincebut I plan on one next Friday evening, I'll let you know how it goes

I am going to give you a quick update as to why this week has been crazy and I haven't got a post done!

First off, what I didn't tell any of you is that I was applying for a new position at work and I found out this week that I was the successful candidate! Nothing like a promotion and a salary increase to make a good week into a great week!!

Second, it's Jasmine's birthday today and mine tomorrow so we will be celebrating both today! I know, you can hold all the "witch" comments for later....I hear that every year

Jasmine has already gotten very spoiled! Jeff bought her a beautiful new Coach purse and wristlet....spoiled spoiled girl. They were out celebrating all weekend, Friday evening it was her friend Jasmine's birthday and last night they went to a Halloween event at their favorite club here in the city!

We are off to Peg's for the day and then dinner, but I will be back this evening with a TR update, that I promise you my friends!!! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
