JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for the water refund and you did AWESOME at the Gold store!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Love yoru afternoon thus far at Epcot. I didn't get to the Ditch, but Andy did with Mary's husband and they had the tequila flight x 2! ;)

Love the picture of you and Jas with Duffy, and the one of Jas and Jeff in China is great too!

That must be hard for jasmine and jeff that they can drink at home but not in the world. I'm excited because i turn 21 in may so this next trip in january will be my last one that i'm not 21 for. You and all the other DISers have made me want to try the grey goose slushie when i'm old enough (my mom has decided she is going to get a grey goose slushie on this trip so i can't wait to hear what she thinks of it).
It's funny because they don't drink alot at home, but if we go out for dinner they will usually have a cocktail but instead we just had them in our room:thumbsup2 Peg and I paid the store a visit for some "bevies"!
Nice of jasmine and jeff to do the KP mission with the girls :) Do they enjoy the KP missions? I have been contemplating trying one for a while now and we have basically 4 planned epcot days this upcoming trip and i was just wondering if people above a certain age would still enjoy it?
Because the girls have done them so many times, I think Jeff and Jasmine really enjoyed it...they are big kids at heart!
I had never even heard of the tequila cave untill my last trip. My brother and his fiancee are going to disney for there honeymoon in december and this sounds like something they would love. do you have any recomendations for drinks for them 2 try? They both love trying exotic new drinks so they would enjoy trying just about anything between the 2 of them.
Stay tuned, I enjoyed a very exotic margarita later in the trip at a very special Dis-meet...I'll tell you all about it!
Love hearing about jeff's reaction to everything and seeing your pictures of all the little details of WS.

Love seeing the illuminations stuff go across the bridge. It usually is a hit or miss for us if we see the globe moving from under the bridge. If we do see it we pretty much always take a picture of it.
It was so neat to see it! I always just see the final product!
I just made a mental note to myself about that place in China. I normally like spending much time in china but after hearing some good things about the food there I'm sensing some more time spent there.
Jasmine and Jeff both had lunch there while we ate at Norway...they wanted something more than sandwiches and they said it was delicious!

Hello Queen! Enjoying your report! Wish I could have been one of your dismeets on this trip. Maybe next time. We'll make it work someday.
Diamond!!! How I've missed you...I too wish you were there, but we will be there again in the future, I just know it!
Congrats on the promotion. I'm off now to check out my own jewelry box. A new coach purse sounds lovely. Did I miss the pic of yours? I want to see it.

Of course the first thing Jasmine asked was if the raise was enough for us to book a trip:confused3:lmao:

Nope, I will post a picture of both of them once Jasmine gets home from work. I have to tell you though that I picked up one that was so gorgeous and Jasmine said "that's totally you mom" and I looked at the price and it was $798.00...needless to say, I promptly put it back!!:rolleyes1

wooo hooo for your windfall with the gold!!! I have a bunch (well, not a bunch but a good amount) set aside to sell. I just need to find place that will buy it for both the good and the gems!! I want the $$ for both!!! :lmao:

LOVE the Ditch!!! I can't wait to take DH there next month!!!

I've never been on TT! Terrible, I know! I wonder if DH will have any interest in going with me! He gets motion sick so sometimes it's hard to judge what he'll do!

I hope you are enjoying your days off work! :cool1:

:woohoo: on the gold being worth more than double what you thought it would be and the water company overcharging and having to return some $$!

Duffy is so cute - we had a great M&G with him as well. That's nice of Jeff and Jasmine to take the kids so you could enjoy your drink.

Love the hat pics!

Woo Hoo on the gold!!!!! :cool1: I turned in three earings (all mismatched), one ring, one thin bracelet and one thin necklace plus a 10K tin, none of which was wearable, and walked out with $479. I thought It would be like $75.

You've already got part of your next trip paid for between that and the water bill refund!!!!!!

Thanks Kathy! The best part is I found more gold today:woohoo: and a whole bunch of sterling silver which this place also takes...going back on Monday!

When we're there together my friend, we'll go and have a drink together:hug: I love both those pictures too!

I have been phoning all my friends and they can't believe it...I think this little store might be overrun in the next few days!:lmao: This man only takes the gold and silver, I had to have the gems removed!

Please have a drink for me when you're there next month...I'll be thinking of you:hug: It's so hard when someone has motion sickness...I've found the last few years have gotten much worse for me:sick:

Love the hat pics!

Yesterday we spent shopping and today Jasmine had to work so I actually did my housework so tomorrow when she's off again we can go out and do something!

Pennies from heaven....that's what I keep telling everyone:)

They were so great throughout the whole trip with the kids! I know Geodoc and Peg were thrilled that they got to have a little adult time too!

It was your post about selling your gold that inspired me to go thru mine....so thank you my friend:hug:

I laughed at your last comment, I was waiting for someone to think of that!! Not gonna lie to you, I may have checked out the Disney website today:rolleyes1

Looks like a wonderful day in EPCOT!! Congrats on the gold for cash!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

I have never seen the bridge up in WS...that's too cool!

Good morning everyone! I know I've been a terrible Diser but now that I am on vacation I am hoping to get a few up while I'm off!

Yes. Bad Queen, bad!

just kidding!:goodvibes

or maybe I'm not! :rotfl:

First, I found out that when we were away in Florida in August the water company did an estimate on our usage and overcharged us so I am getting a cheque for $538.00!

Geez, that's what our last bill was (did I mention we have a pool now? :rolleyes1). So now I know where the money went!

You can imagine my shock and surprise when it was worth $1240.00!!

Whoa! Nice haul! I wonder if DW really needs her rings? Whadya think?

Along the way we saw that Duffy was out and we all decided we should stop for a visit! The girls excited to see him for the first time!

Nope, not a fan of Duffy, here. Sorry. I just don't get it I guess... :confused3

Jeff and Jasmine approaching Mexico...Jeff was all "thumbs up" again thinking we were all stopping for margaritas until we once again had to remind him that the drinking age in the states is 21!

I'm guessing his thumbs weren't so high after he found that out. Hmmm... but then again I can think of something (or someone) that was. Maybe a bit? Hang on a sec...

This is when Jeff and Jasmine said they would take the girls to do a KP mission

Love the KP missions, we had a blast doing them! :)

My pineapple margarita and chips....both were super yummy!

...Ah ha! See, I told you something or someone was getting high! :lmao:

Peg's blood orange margarita and I believe Geodoc had a lime one but for some reason I don't have a picture of his!

Someones apparently...

Jasmine ended up buying some jewellery in here and we all really enjoyed our time and ended up doing the boat ride too! By the time we left, the sun was shining again so we decided to head back to TT and use our FP's!

What did Jeff think of TT?

Jasmine's favorite country in WS....Italy!

Interesting choice, how come?

I will leave you here but will be back later to finish up our day! Where we were headed to for dinner.......?

Hmmm.... You gave a pretty strong clue last time. But this time I'm just guessing when I say... Biergarten?

Thanks for the update!

Aaahh, the Ditch. Such a lovely place. What a great way to spend some time on a hot afternoon. I always forget that legal drinking age in Canada is 18. I would have been disappointed too! :lmao:

Depends on the Province, 19 here.

I am terribly late again catching up!

First, a very happy belated birthday to both you and Jas.

Awesome score on the gold! I've always wanted to do that but thought that it might not be worth the time it would take to go through the stuff. You did great!!!

And CONGRATS on the promotion!

Hopefully I won't let myself get too far behind again!

I am happy to hear you and Jas had such great birthdays!!!

Congrats on all of the money coming your way!!! Will this be put towards a Disney trip? ;) Because I hear October 2012 around the 20th is a great time to go :thumbsup2

Aw so cute about the purse

That must be so odd for Jeff and Jas to not be able to drink in the States! Soon enough they will be enjoying those Jalapeno Margeritas along with you :thumbsup2

The jewelry Jas got was so pretty! My mom wears her braclets all of the time!

I love the stawberry slushie from China! I think it is like a Strawberry Oolong tea slush? Whatever it is, it is so good!

Can't wait for more!

It was your post about selling your gold that inspired me to go thru mine....so thank you my friend:hug:

Since I went I have been seriously thinking about turning in my nursing pins. I have two of them and I have always thought they were silly. They just sit in a box. Plus my mom found an old ring setting and another ring. Then I have a lock box with other jewelry in it. Problem is, I lost the key. I need to get Denny to smash that bad boy so I can see if I have anymore hidden loot that is broken or that I don't wear!!!!!

Checking out the website are you??? :rotfl2: As you should be! I think that free dining would be calling my name if I wasn't going in December. :thumbsup2

Thanks:goodvibes

I thought it was cool too, had always heard about it but never saw it so we felt pretty good about it:cool1:

That explains a lot. ;)

Whatever do you mean:rolleyes1 The fact that we ran into you guys and I was flailing my arms around....or the fact that everytime we ran into you that night pooksma was having wine and we were on our way for bevies:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes. Bad Queen, bad!

just kidding!

or maybe I'm not!
I know...let me hang my head in shame:rolleyes1

Geez, that's what our last bill was (did I mention we have a pool now? ). So now I know where the money went!

Ahhh yes....the good ol pool....my parents had a pool so I remember those large water bills!

Whoa! Nice haul! I wonder if DW really needs her rings? Whadya think?

Well...considering you're still married, I'm gonna go with a yes;) Me...not so much, so off they went:lmao:

Nope, not a fan of Duffy, here. Sorry. I just don't get it I guess...

He's cute and all but I'm with you, don't quite get it, but the girls think he's adorable!

I'm guessing his thumbs weren't so high after he found that out. Hmmm... but then again I can think of something (or someone) that was. Maybe a bit? Hang on a sec...

Yup...there were 2 little ladies that were quite content to spend the afternoon with Jeff and Jasmine!

Love the KP missions, we had a blast doing them!

I agree, I think it's one of the best ideas they have come up with for getting smaller kids to enjoy WS!!

...Ah ha! See, I told you something or someone was getting high! :lmao:

Who us???:confused3

Someones apparently...

ok...you're right:woohoo:

What did Jeff think of TT?

He loved it!! He just wished it was longer....I told him he has to learn to drive a stick and we'd take him to the RPDE next trip!!!

Interesting choice, how come?

Oh good grief....I can't remember what this comment was for:headache:I'll have to go back and look

Hmmm.... You gave a pretty strong clue last time. But this time I'm just guessing when I say... Biergarten?

Thanks for the update!

That would have been my choice but little Miss Fussypants doesn't like Biergarten!

It was the best...it is definitely going to be on our planning cards for every trip going forward!

Jeff enjoyed a couple of beers out on the balcony a few times:rolleyes1

I keep falling behind too:goodvibes

Thank you the birthday wishes:hug::hug: It took me about an hour to go thru everything...or maybe a little longer but I am so happy that I did!

Thanks I start my new position on Nov 14!

Believe me, if Jasmine wasn't going to be in school, we would be there, no question about it!!

Jasmine wears her jewellery all the time too...she also bought a pair of earrings in Italy that she wears alot too!

Yup that's the drink, she said it was delicious!

We got pins too from work that were in my stash of gold! I just figure, they've been in these boxes for years, I don't wear them anymore so I might as well get rid of them!

I figure things come in 3's. I got the money for the gold, I got the money from the water company...maybe the $40 million lottery prize tonight will come to me:woohoo: Here's hoping!!;)

Congrats on the promotion!

What a wonderful afternoon just soaking up all the details the WS has to offer. Can you believe I've never been to the Ditch? It is sooooo going on my to-do list for our next trip. DBF would flip for a pineapple margarita! :woohoo:

Thanks hon:goodvibes

I sure could use one of those afternoons now...weather is starting to change here although we've been very lucky so far...best fall we've had in a while! I have to tell you that this was our first time there! We usually grab a margarita-to-go and wander the Showcase! It was a wonderful afternoon!! Glad you're putting it on your to do list!!

Time to finish off our wonderful day at Epcot! I was telling Peg that I had started the post of this day and she reminded me of something very important that I forgot to share with all of you!

We had decided we would have CS in Norway for lunch but neither Jeff or Jasmine was feeling that so they decided to head to China and grab something there. Sounded good to us we just told them we would wait for them at the outdoor seating aread in Norway....perfect!

We were not quite finished our lunch when the kids came back. One thing I haven't told you about Jeff is that he has this unnatural fear of birds...any birds...all birds....actually anything that flies...birds, wasps, bees, flies....get my drift?:lmao: Anyhoodle, we were sitting enjoying our lunch and anyone who has ever eaten outdoors in Norway knows there is a ton of sparrows around...well you can image Jeff's horror. Actually, I was laughing so hard that I couldn't take a picture, but apparently Peg has a priceless one so let's hope she gets on here and posts it! He was flailing and shreiking and I couldn't stop laughing....as a matter of fact, everyone in the eating area was laughing! He couldn't take the birds any longer so they waited for us on a bench along the lagoon! I am laughing as I type this:rolleyes1
280-4.jpg

Once we were all finished out lunch we headed around WS...just a nice slow meander and as you know from my last update we had already passed China. Took this along the way! I loved how these were made from recycled products!
281-4.jpg

Then we stopped at the Karamell Kuche...and OMG...this was pure heaven in here! Just have a look at these little delicacies!
282-4.jpg

I bought a chewy caramel bar which I had read rave reviews about but it wasn't my cup of tea...I had one bite when we got back to the hotel that night and threw it out....it was just far too sweet for me! See that delicious apple with the W on it....one of those would make it home with Jasmine and let me tell you it was devine...probably the best snack I've had on property!
283-4.jpg

Here are the Bickerson's again arguing about their wishes in front of the fountain, just had to post this one because I love the look on Jasmine's face!
284-4.jpg

Time for a nice one!!!
285-4.jpg

I love a Christmas store....any Christmas store and who did we run into again while here.....the Declan's dad crew!!!
286-4.jpg

The outside of the Karamell Kuche....the caramel popcorn here is to die for too!
287-4.jpg

The little village...this brings back memories of our childhood for Peg and I .... we lived in Germany for 4 years when we were kids while my dad was in the military and this is a place we always visited on vacations when we were there....we were also lucky enough to spend 3 weeks of vacation time in Italy so being in Italy in WS also brings back great memories for us!
288-4.jpg

Jasmine can't make her mind up on which perfume she wants so she settled for a pair of pearl earrings!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/289-4.jpg[/IMG
Picture of the courtyard! We would be visiting Via Napoli later in the trip but not on this particular evening
[IMG]http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/290-4.jpg
Jasmine insists on lots of pictures in Italy as it's her dream vacation...once she graduates from University this will be the trip we take....the real Italy with Adventures by Disney....already planning that one!!!
291-4.jpg

I just love everything about this area and the fact that the kids were having such a great day/evening made me so happy! What's not to be happy about, we're in Disney!!
292-3.jpg

I love this pavillion so I insisted on a picture of us in front of it!
293-3.jpg

The story behind this picture was Jeff trying to act tough as the birds were flying around again...hysterical!
294-3.jpg

Our destination for dinner....Les Chefs du France. We checked in and within a few minutes we were seated! There were two things that didn't make this meal a great one....the first, we weren't that hungry, between a later lunch, and chips and margaritas...dinner came far too early. Second...there was a nasty nasty mean lady at the next table to us. You know the type, the one that thinks she's the only one that exists in the room, the world revolves around her...and the poor server couldn't do anything right. I gave her the death stare til she looked at me and all I said was "unbelievable how a grown woman can act"...couldn't help myself she made me sick with her attitude:headache:
295-2.jpg

The four kiddies waiting for dinner! Can't you just see what a great day we had by the looks on their faces...too bad Cruella was sitting right next to Jasmine but we ended up just ignoring her to the best of our abilities!
296-2.jpg

I ended up just having the soup and it was delicious
297-1.jpg

Ended our meal with the sorbet....mmmmm it was so fresh and cold, the best on a hot humid day!

Everyone was ready to head back to the resort after our day so we skipped Illuminations and took the boat to DHS and then caught our bus from there.

First of all, congratulations on the job promotion and belated happy birthday to both you and Jasmine :dance3:

Wonderful day in Epcot, wandering and taking it all in :goodvibes Those drinks certainly looked yummy. Too bad about your neighbour at dinner, but it didn't look like you let her ruin your meal. I guess that is one of the upsides of not doing the dining plan is that you could just order soup and not feel like you were wasting a dining credit.

Your pictures made me feel like I was there :thumbsup2
