Thank you so much for that informational timeline. I am a fairly earlier riser. I wake up about that time and then cannot get back to sleep. Even if no one else is awake, at least I know I can go sit out on the balcony and perhaps get a glimpse of some animals. I can wake the children up a little later.

Has anyone stayed in a room that was NOT renovated? Trying to figure if I have to put in a request.

I am interested in the same question. I am booked for a standard room and would love to have a somewhat decent view but I also really want to stay in a renovated room I have no idea what I should request

Does anyone happen to recall if the hairdryers in the rooms have the diffuser attachments? My curly hair thanks you.

Hi. We were booked at WL, but when we went to drop a day (to offset the cost of the Merry After Party tickets), we had to move to another resort.

So, AKL it is. Our last stay at AKL was in 2013 - and we have never been there at Christmas. So, I'm excited to see it decorated.

Can we join your December list?

12/21/21 - 12/27/21 - Jambo House

While we are going over Christmas - it is just the girls and I. We will be celebrating them turning 18. Love this is where they wanted to go to celebrate. First Universal (12/19-12/21), which will be a fist for us. . .can. . .not. . . .wait. . .to. . .go!

Just saw one of my pics from AKL in December (2015) and it is so beautiful (I'm also a fan of WL though I can't ever get the family to stay there!). Hope it's great for you!

We have stayed at WL for Christmas before. It is lovely. But from what I can tell from Youtube videos, AKL looks just as lovely. Hey, we will be at Disney. . . all that matters.

Everyone always talks about Wilderness Lodge at Christmas, but the tree at Jambo is just as impressive!

Agree. I think AKL is better than Wilderness but I live in Colorado so I see that look at all the ski resorts and in my parents home who lives in Keystone, CO. So AKL is different enough but still haves a wonderful xmas feel.

I looked at videos on Youtube, and agree. There were similarities with the decorations - but AKL had drums, music and a tree lighting in the videos from 2020. So, I am really looking forward to seeing it in person.

Not sure if they have the attachment or not (our first stay there is coming up in December.) BUT if they don’t or you travel and need a diffuser regularly, lookup a “hot sock diffuser” on Amazon. I have curly hair, and although it isn’t as good as a regular diffuser it is a lifesaver for travel, it takes up no room! Hope this helps!

Yes.
Movies are 3x a week. This week is Halloween town, Moana and something else maybe frozen 2.
