Jamberry vs. Sally Hansen, who gets your vote?

Which do you prefer? Jamberry, Sally Hansen or another brand. I just lovvveee the number of designs that Jamberry has, but I can not get them to work and stick on my nails the way that the Sally Hansen strips will! I buy them on Ebay so I do get them cheaper that at the stores.

So which do you use the most or like the best?

The Jamberry Facebook sales are so darn annoying that I would not use them at all LOL!

i watched lots of youtube on this very thing - I chose Jamberry, but I haven't tried putting them on - I bought a table heat machine from Target ($12 vs 30 - Jamberry sells a heater for $30 I believe, and they say you can use a Hair dryer, but I thought the hair dryer would be awkward) One youtube says that the Sally Hanson was nail polish based...

I like Jamberry more than the Sally Hanson ones because SH chips and peels on me in a few days and I always get at least 10 days out of my Jamberry wraps.

JohnDale's Wife - if you're having problems getting Jams to stick, try washing your hands with Dawn dishsoap (or another soap with a degreaser) first and then following the steps. High oil level is the number one reason they won't stick. Number two is you need to leave a little sliver of exposed fingernail on the side of your nail - if you're sticking them all the way to the very side of your nail (where your nail meets your skin) they can't form a proper seal and they won't stick. Definitely the most common mistake people make with them.

I love Jamberry. I have reindeer on my nails right now . I hosted an online party and got a TON of rewards. I'm set for the next year .

I love the Sally Hansen nail polish strips. I love all nail polish in general but as a nurse (constantly washing my hands!) my nails start to chip in 3-4 days with regular polish (and base and top coats), whereas I can get 10-12 days of no chipping with SH. I love Jamberry's designs and purchased a couple of sets when my cousin was selling them, but I could never get them to apply right.

I actually just made this decision; I wanted to try one or the other but I wasn't sure which one. I ended up choosing Jamberry because the Sally Hansen strips get pretty poor reviews on Amazon. I'm on my second week with my first set of Jamberry nails and I haven't had any of them come off or chip - in fact, they seem so solidly on my nails that I'm a bit worried that they'll be difficult to get off!

Well I have used both and know that both can stay on really well, I have just yet to get the Jamberrys to look really good. I have nearly two weeks off of work here soon so I will be able to practice with them, but as of now, I just can't get them to go on and file off at the end to look good.

Use a dental flosser (the disposable kind) to break the seal near your cuticle, then dip your fingers in olive oil. Use the flosser again to peel back. Once you have enough peeled off that you can grab it, you can peel with your fingers. Easy peasy.

I don't file mine at the ends. Instead, I use clippers and clip them-- I clip just a bit of the nail off along with the rest of the wrap. it seems to work well.

I've never tried the sally hansen ones but have many of the jamberry wraps (wearing the reindeer now as well!). I'll be honest that I can only get 5-6 days out of mine, but I work a lot with my hands. And even so 5-6 days is a heck of a lot longer than I ever got using regular nail polish.

I also vote Jamberry, I love them so much I became a consultant a couple of months ago. My mom is also completely sold on them. She wore Reindeer games and first frost the week of Christmas and couldn't believe how well they lasted through all the heavy cleaning, cooking, and dish washing she did. I washed 4 dogs Christmas morning and washed dished several times that day and Christmas eve and they still lasted a week. I took them off yesterday because I'm ready for sparkly new years nails.

OK I've done these: Jamberry, Sally Hansen and various dollar store stickies similar to Jams. Here's my preference. In general I like the Sally Hansen ones as far as application and not being annoying while on. The problem is that it's only ONE application, you can't save leftovers because they dry out and won't stick. I've even tried resealing in a ziplock baggy :-( I do get them on ebay too so not very expensive around $4. That said I like Jams for the designs and also how they look on after getting good at applying BUT I've gotten the heater, the special files and even a glass file that was recommended in a youtube video I watched and still the tips catch some things or get a little gooey right at the edge, not all designs but some. OTOH, although they seem pricey you can get a couple applications from one sheet. It's really a toss up for me but if I have the time to apply right I'd go w Jams. Sally's are definately a quicker application. And the dollar store Essie/Maybelline and others are just as good for the most part and only a dollar. Oh yeah one more thing...the Jams can ruin your nails because they so firmly attach that when you try to remove them a layer of nail protein can get removed too leaving your nails a bit thinner and weaker and more likely to peel. You need to be very gently and careful with removal...lesson learned the hard way!
