What has been your kids' response to the new show? My kids LOVE it, but it comes on when we are leaving for school 4 days a week. I really would like it if it was on more than once a day.

My kids LOVE it! In fact my almost 3 year old earned gold deblooms the other day for picking up the living room :)

It is on twice a day. 8:30 and then again at 12 or 12:30 I think it is. During the week anyway. Everything is different on the weekends.

My kids love it too. I have 3 year old twins and lately they have not been into the same shows. this one they both love. in fact, they were fighting over which one of them is Jake. I'm Izzy, of course and DH is Cap'n hook. :)

LOVE the idea of earning the dubloons at home. I'm going to use that!

It worked great, I just cut circles out of paper. The best part was he was like we have to grab them and go catch up to captain hook. Let's get in the boat to go catch up to captain hook. So I told him that the couch is the boat and he and his little brother climbed on the couch and pretended it was a boat and I vacuumed.

The next day he wasn't into it though, so I guess it depends on his mood.

I have 3 year old twins too! Mine are fraternal boys. It would be really nice if Disney would create a character meal at the Studios starring them. Unfortunately, with Disney's track record- it would be too late. Why not replace the Little Einsteins with Jake at Play and Dine??? You already have the Hook and Smee characters, you'd just have to add in the 3 kids.

Agreed. we are going in May and when looking at booking ADRs I was hoping for some more options for my boys (fraternal too). thought Phineas and Ferb, Toy Story or Cap'n Jack character meals would be great. now adding Jake and NLP in the wish list mix.

I have to say that I was not impressed with the first show and was worried that the rest would just be CH getting coconuts dumped on him. But since then they have been decent and my 3yo loves it too.

We are very excited that the new show will be running when we arrive. And I love the idea of a character meal.

My kids are LOVING it!! They are loving the music and have been playing pirates everyday. They are HUGE Petet Pan fans, so I am happy for this show.

My DD4 doesn't like pirates (she says she is a princess) but she too LOVES the show (which surprised me!!) I think it is cute too. We leave for school right when it is coming on, so I have been taping it for her to watch when she gets home!!

My 4 year old loves it and my almost 2 year old really engages with it too. He answers their questions etc. It's a big hit here! I've been recording it on the DVR and my 4 year old asks to watch and rewatch them. He also loves Babar too!

my 2 younger boys are the same age and they love it! It's all the older one asks to watch. My youngest hasn't really gotten into anything on tv, but he hears the music and dances away, crawls on my lap and watches it.

I have it dvr'd everyday.

My 3 year old loves the show. He throws a fit when I tell him he has to wait for it. Shows like spongebob and mickey's playhouse are on multipule times a day, very easy to catch. I'm hopping with the popularity of the show they play more episodes during the day.

I wonder if they are going to make an apperance in the new playhouse disney show.

Both of my DDs like the show, even my almost 8 year old. DH and I however don't like it much.

It's way too much like Dora from a format standpoint, which is a show neither of us can stand. Very disappointed in Disney that they couldn't come up with a different format...Dora goes on an adventure, Captain Hook reminds me of Swiper, the dubloons are like Dora's stars...I could go on and on. Just seems like a rip-off on the popular Dora franchise to me. I love the idea of a pirate show, just think they could have done a much better job. Maybe I'm just bitter that all my kids favorite shows keep going away and now we have annoying ones in their places...like Oso, Fish Hooks, Chuggington (a Thomas knowck-off), etc.

My boys love it too and we have the same problem. My older son really likes it so he doesn't get to see it at all since he's in school all day. Not sure who your cable provider is, but we have Comcast and I noticed that they have it On Demand. If your cable provider has On Demand, they may have it there.

My boys are 6 and 3, and I am so grateful for this show because it is one of the only ones that they BOTH love to watch! They have been playing Pirates in the backyard all weekend. I am excited to see the new Disney Junior show when we go in April...it looks like they already have a little bit of Jake incorporated into it!

We love it, and it does come on more than once, plus I think you can watch the whole episode on the playhousedisney site.

my son (4) is loving the new show! He actually hopes he can meet Captain Hook when we go to Disney this year! He has been scared all the years before. (but its not enough to convince him to do pirates league with his sister)

While my kids love it, I now see that it is extremely similar to Dora!! Someone on here said that, and now I also see it. It is a great format- asking the kids questions, getting rewards (dabloons or stars), getting up and moving to directions etc., so I see why Disney copied it. It would be nice to see Peter Pan and Tink on it.

Just a note ... you can download the first full episode of Jake and the Neverland Pirates on ITunes for free. I just added it to my IPod Touch for the kids to watch when I need something to distract them :)

Also, I was reading an interview with David Arquette (he apparently voices the parrot) and he said Peter Pan will be making appearances on the series.
